Yes! Yes! Yes! Something I've always thought too! How come no one in a position to do something about this has ever thought of it before? We're keeping ourselves back because of a lack of vision. SMT!

"The judge questioned Serrette's immigration status due to unfamiliarity with his surname". Seriously? Lord knows I better not ever have to go to court because with my Sicilian names I'll have to prove I'm a sixth generation Bahamian. Can't forget been loudly asked "You is a Bahamian?" when I went to apply for a police record to travel a few years back. This in the crowded reception of the Thompson Blvd. office. Ever heard the collective 'suck teet' of about eighty people?

Are any qualified Bahamians interested in applying for the job? There are many qualified Bahamians working around the world in different occupations, but that doesn't mean they want to come home and work. Being a Bahamian should not be the most important thing,

Curious. Wasn't former MP Ron Pinder, just saying something about collecting unpaid rent from the workers in the new downtown straw market?

'Sinks' or 'Capsizes' would be better choices.

Such a sad little face. Young mother should have followed her concern and not forced the toddler to go. That will haunt her forever. Should have listened to her inner voice saying something was wrong.

Hang in their COBUS ! The more these 'people in high places' talk and try to explain themselves, the more ridiculous they appear. Yes, I believe the Speaker of the House of Assembly was WRONG.

I find this entire thing sickening! Could not believe when I heard Kirk Smith report this on COOL 96's 8am newscast this morning. How can someone mow down two people and just walk away?! Who is the driver? Does he have a driver's licence/insurance? Leaving the scene of a accident should be the first charge of many. I would like Inspector Harry Williams to tell the Gandzas' son that "we do not expect any charges to be pressed". The Bahamas must look like the most backwards country on the planet to this young man and the people of Canada. This cannot be over just like this (and they wonder why we have no faith in the police/judicial system).
