Honest not ridiculous. I think that 'Kodak moment' should not have been on the front page or tv screen especially for these young thugs and gangsters to see. Great to have a heart and be compassionate but when I saw him take off his cap and rest his head on Fernander's shoulder the only thought that went through my mind was, what, is he four?! His actions did not make me feel secure, and I really wish the newspapers had run another photo.

So shocked watching last night's NB12 newscast to see Commissioner Greenslade remove his cap and rest his head on Superintendent Fernander's shoulder, and then front and centre in today's tribune and guardian. Commissioner Greenslade is the 'top cop' and I don't know about anyone else, but I think he has to look strong and confident everytime a camera is around. I don't see that in this photo. Maybe you should have run another photo. None of the other officers present acted that way, and seeing the Commissioner look like he was on the verge of tears didn't make this citizen feel safe at all. Sorry.

A three-strikes-you're-out system gives a person two more chances to commit further crimes. One-strike-and-that's-it is what we need. Anything else is playing games.

I think the correct question should be 'Do you think the PLP government has made ANY progress in its first year?' Vote Yes or No. If 'Yes', where has most progress occured: crime/economy'education/other.

note to reporter, dana smith: saw the NB12 clip about this last night and I'm sure Deandra Cartwright said "about 25 khaki-suited policemen" not "about 25 cocky, suited policemen". Big difference.

Was passing through Bay Street yesterday and wondered what was going on. Saw a group of young people dressed for Parliament (suits etc.) waiting near the corner of Parliament and Bay. Barricades, MPs shaking khaki-wearing officers hands, TV cameras. Can't believe they were denied entry because they had received 'information'. Rubbish I say! Then PM Christie and his usual response of "I have no idea what they were talking about". Does he ever?! Students seemed mannerly and well-spoken and not allowing them in further shows how backwards this administration is. Some of these same students probably voted for the first time in 2012 or WILL vote in the next election. They are young adults not kindergarten students, and are interested in what's going on--as they should be. I think they came out looking better than 'the old heads' who said no, you can't come into your own Parliament.

Is there a code of ethics or behavior for athletes who represent our country, and students who are on scholarship? If not, something to consider. Important to know that if you do certain behaviors (eg. arrest, robbery, cheating) what will happen to you.

The PLP government seems to thrive on appearances and how they think they may appear to others. The talk of a new House of Parliament and PM's residence are just two examples, now this. I suggest they use that $247,000 not on renovations to the residence of the Bahamas High Commissioner but in purchasing a property outside of the city of London, where I'm sure they can get more for their dollar (or pound). Yes, London is expensive so if you can't afford it, move to a location that is still close to the city where you want to be, but properties are less expensive. Real estate agent anyone?

Muddasic! I'm shocked! He must have really crossed someone to end up in jail. Guess he's the 'example'. Like someone else said, no ankle bracelet? No fine? WOW!
