I suggest a piece of land be awarded to each semi-finalist, finalist and gold medal Olympian, preferably on their ancestral island eg. Chris Brown-Eleuthera. Even better, every Bahamian who represents our country well in other fields should also have this privilege.

Ridiculous.Any of these MPs been downtown trying to find a parking spot lately? Ain't none to find! Twice I wanted to go on Bay Street looking for an item but gave up after driving round and round. If I, as a customer can't find a parking space, me and my $$$ will go elsewhere. Taxis need a call up system. Create an area near the ol' City Market/St. Agnes' maybe and have a few booths on Bay Street with 1 or 2 persons who can call the taxi for the client. Phone-helper has a job, taxi driver has a job, client has a cab and people who want to park on Bay Street can do so because waiting taxis aren't taking up valuable parking space. "Everybody wins" as the saying goes. Minister Hanna-Martin, you're going backwards.

Are you on facebook? Cable 12 News is on facebook as NB12 (the Official Page). Some news clips are posted, however not the one I mentioned yet. You can also send them messages.

Mount Vernon? I thought Urban Renewal (UR) was for the Engleston/Bain & Grant's Town areas. This sounds like someone in a middle/upper middle class area who didn't want to maintain their property and got the UR crew to come in and do it for free. I wish whoever is in charge would at least consult with the Bahamas National Trust (BNT) on the best way to clear an overgrown lot without bulldozing the lot flat. You think it's hot now, keep knocking down all the trees and you'll really be feeling some heat! Saw a bulldozer last week near Sunglow Park, Colony Village off Prince Charles Drive in the east. This is the neighbouhood park maintained by atlantis. i thought they were just thinning out a nearby lot but, no, all the pond grass and trees that surrounded the pond and added to the atmosphere are gone. Tree stumps. No ducks, birds or croaking frogs. Nothing. tribune, please come and have a look.

The legendary figure, Robin Hood, was known to steal from the rich and give to the poor. So who would steal from Robin Hood? To give/sell to who?

I am a Bahamian woman married 24 years to a non-Bahamian, with two daughters born here at Doctors Hospital. What annoys me most about this foolishness is why we females even have to go through this anyway. What were these writers of our constitution thinking when they decided it would be fine to treat future generations this way? Think is, so many of them have foreign wives and children with two passports. Also, reading this article, a non-Bahamian wife can keep her citizenship and become a Bahamian but no mention of the same thing for my husband. Do they even know what it means to be fair and equal??

DPM and Minister of Works Davis please be advised, since you don't seem to know, that drivers in the east already experience 'major challenges' with morning school traffic. Work at the Village/Bernard Road roundabout could bring traffic to a standstill not only there but on the Eastern Road and Prince Charles Drive as well. I live in the east so I know what I'm talking about! Can't forget the female officer who was directing traffic at the Eastwood/Elizabeth Estates junction (April this year?) who just threw her hands up in the air and walked away. My 9th grader and I just looked at each other in shock.

Are they saying that lousy academic students will automatically make good masons, carpenters, tradesmen etc? We need students who are serious about these fields too. Don't need anymore tradesmen who are a disgrace to their fields, thank-you. Stop settling and expecting Bahamian people to settle for rubbish as well!
