Can't take seriously anyone who didn't have a bahamian passport in his hands until AFTER he became MP for Elizabeth. I had mine since March 1974 and my daughters got theirs as newborns. "He funny nah".

Gold courses: usually loaded with chemicals to maintain the green grass. Polluting the water we need. I'm not impressed.

Wow! Excellent story! So nice to NOT read something involving crime and bad news for a change. Thank-you to everyone who made this 'good news' happen.

Is the tribune serious about this story? The 17-year old's name is all over the news! IF they were really serious about finding him they would publish a photo! Also last night's TV news said he was not handcuffed; why was he not cuffed to the bed? Sorry, but seems like 'someone' isn't doing their job--again.

Sounds like a good idea BUT then what? The child still won't learn to take responsibility for his actions if the parents are held responsible. Parents may have some responsibility but it all comes down to the child deciding to be a menace to society by choosing right or wrong. At Heaven's Gate you speak for yourself .

Did I just read correctly? "I will be calling in members of the media next week after the budget to talk about what we expect of the media moving forward." Did Minister Fitzgerald hear his own words? Sounds to me like censorship of the media is on the way.

Also, has any Minister of Education ever sent his child to a government school, or any MP for that matter? Seems like they all prefer St. Expensive's at the eastern and western ends of the island.

Finally, I thought a girl from Long Island, Paloma Cartwright I believe was her name, represented the Bahamas in the recent US Spelling Bee not Dante Rolle from Grand Bahama.

Deputy PM Davis must be coaching MP Ryan Pinder in stupidity. Why is he even bringing this up in the House? Take it outside! What does this have to do with the business of running the Bahamian government? Carrying on like children in the schoolyard. "I heard.." "I saw..." Someone bring a tamarind switch for them, please. (Ryan Pinder, this is what you came back from FL for?)

Suggestion: depends! Maybe if some of these wannabe thugs and gangsters heard that that's what they'll be wearing on an 'outing' to court, PMH or where ever they have to go, they would think twice. That should be part of the new policy! We are becoming a police state, babysitting these criminals. There are not enough police for all that has to be done. Hasn't the police force learnt by now that sending one officer to the bathroom with someone 'known to them' will likely result in an escape attempt? A prisoner will always try to escape!

Who is the owner? Wasn't there another shooting at the same spot recently? Will this finally cause their business license to be revoked? Also, heading out west yesterday afternoon saw a parked police car and gun-carrying-vest-wearing policemen outside an open-air 'establishment', with the initials CG, just up from St. Alban's Drive. Rowdy atmosphere, rough crowd. Blond tourist couple were actually running away with looks of panic on their faces. "Nassau gone funky" as the song says.
