Very true. What a pathetic day for true bahamians. Additionally, the NIB will retroactively register them for pensions and government housing. When true bahamians like myself had my pension benefits taken away by the PAPA Ingraham government in 2011 and told to go to hell. Hopefully that will not occur again in order to funds all the" foriegn bahamians" being bestowed by " governments in the bahamas. With the high rate of unemployment and another 6 to 7 thousand students coming out of school, why is there not an annual quota system implemented.

Why we are always told what is going to be done, ( intended action) instead of what has been done (action). Who are these slum lords, what penalties have been levied against them. Are the persons living in these towns, Legal registered employed immigrants, are they Illegal Immigrants who are in immigration custody awaiting deportation. Or is this another " you must be registered by december 31 , 2017 or you will be deported back to your country post haste , Band-Aid talk too????

The 30% ( percent) of the foreign work force is for the construction only. The 70 % (percent) Bahamians labour force is for housekeepers, window cleaners and landscapers. Most of the money to remain in the Bahamas for this project was the real estate commission paid for the sale of the property.

And the Illegal Immigrants and Foreigners are singing the song to the Bahamian People, " say what you like, do what you like, we still still got it going our way. This use to be your country, now now is our time.

Should it not be " People who are born in the Bahamas to "LEGAL" foreign parents in the Bahamas" are entitled to apply. If ANY Parent entered the Bahamas illegally the child is not eligable to apply. The law should be clear and concise and free of any ambiguity.

Since the 2016 elections the words " Its the Peoples time", "Transparency and Accountability" " Where the VAT money gone" " Forensic Audits of government agencies and those found stealing from the people to do the " Bank Lane Shuffle", have now disappeared, fooled ya. The new words are " Its better in the Bahamas for foreigners. The Illegal foreigners are now signing the song" say what you like, do what you like, we still got it going our way". Perhaps a delegation from Amnesty International should have been invited to attend aswell.

Mr, Jean-Charles is a "Bahamas born man of Illegal Immigrant parent (s)". I hope that the Bahamas Attorney General's office will be reimbursed for legal fees and other expensed in having to defending this travesty. The public should be made aware of the cost to the Bahamian people and verification of reimbursement.. Like in 2011 when the Ingraham government took away the Bahamian people pensions and increased the contributions retroactively to the inception date due to mismanagement and corruption.Look for the same thing to be repeated in the not to distant future where the true Bahamian with have to contribute for 50 year before they will be able to collect a pension do to the expenses being incurred for the lack of proper and implemented Immigration Laws.
