This "bank with BOB" policy would make sense if the Government would place a BOB branch on EVERY major Bahamian island ...... Then no other bank would dare open their mouth because they would have to put up or shut up.
How many islands presently have a BOB branch that can service the citizens of the country, who have borne the burden of paying close to $500 million of bailouts for mostly the political PEPs??????
Police officers are ill prepared for retirement because too many of them have 3 or more baby mamas with at least 10 kids scattered all over the country, who they have to maintain and educate. Same thing with DF & others.
So, that is why they can't retire after their 25 or 30 years even though they may still only be in their forties.
It is a most unfortunate lifestyle that ALL uniformed officers who are supposed to be disciplined are probably more ill disciplined that many civilians.
The PLP is a day late & a dollar short again with the Golden Yolk program.
Ever since Clay Sweeting announced that he was going to make farming sexy again, he has left to go to MOPW+ and the least sexiest Minister in this incompetent PLP government has taken over MOAF.
Bahamians cannot expect anything different when the government places people like Jomo Campbell & his cousin in charge of MOAF. It is just a Treasury "feeding frenzy" that we will witness for the few remaining months of the hapless New Day PLP term in office.
Only solution is for our people to get a few yard chickens and keep them in the backyard to lay eggs 😄
Lawyer run businesses. The DPM is a businessman. There are numerous businessmen in Parliament.
That is no excuse for these stupid laws. Paul Moss is right that the Government wants to take the lazy way out by making untold demands on the private sector to account in order for the public sector to collect Revenue on the cheap.

Who are these re-hirees? What are they needed for?
The People who are paying them should know.
If the union boss voice note is correct, it sounds like a gravy train leading up to the General Election.

Gonna be worse next year on the eve of a general election
PLP knows that it has failed in first 3 years, only milked the Treasury for its PEPs.

My God, this is shameful.
And the Government has the nerve to say that IF the rates that the people pay did not increase, then NIB would fail by 2029??????
Yet, the Cabinet is playing loosy goosy with our NIB money, sharing it out and giving promissory notes.
Shameless crooks, not national leaders.
