Good question ......... $1,500 per week is equal to $78,000 pa. That is at or near the top of the public service pay scale ......... Only the 1% and the "consultants" enjoy that kind of salary .......... The average civil servant salary is about $20,000 pa (or $385 per week) ......... Bear in mind that thousands of Government workers make minimum wage ($250 per week).
All of the PLP big wigs are getting their hands into the "cookie jar" ....... Will he get a 6 figure salary/benefits package too??? ........ Lord help us
The Bahamian politicians have taken away the power of the Fourth Estate gradually .............. what will be the response of the press corps?????? We shall see ..........
MOE is like an old car ..... Hope that you can find replacement parts to pass inspection to keep it on the road for another year ...... Without serious institutional reform, it's a race to the bottom for most public school students now. School officials can only do so much. Parents are either not checking, aware or interested in their children's education.
