Personally, a combo of Minnisites & Ingrahamites(Pintardians) will be great.

I can say the same thing about the "PLP islands" ......... Andros, Cat Island, MICAL.

Long Island people don't sit back and wait on the politicians to give out candy. If that was the case, Pindling would have broken the spirit of the ppl between 1967 & 1992. He split up the constituency and it still didn't work.

But, national development is not supposed to be based on political ties, it should be based on long term goals. I guess our politicians think short term (5 years).

I understand that GB is starving (just like Long Island).

But dangling New Day carrots before us with a year left in this political election term is
amateurish. But that is their M.O.

I can't fault the FNM for not turning up to that PLP rally.

That was a bunch of baloney and no bread.

The PLP are the masters of "show". But where is the money?????

Lord, help poor urban Bahamians, Family Islanders and their land 🥺🥺🥺

The problem with our country and its political leaders is that we are not practical.

The size & makeup of our country has to taken into consideration when planning these beautiful ideas.

Duplication of services and resources across 30 islands is expensive.

That is why our systems have to change to streamline Govt services, not expand them for sexy optics at election time.

My opinion.

And they voted PLP in 2021.

The only thing the PLP did was opened the airport that the FNM constructed

The Bahamas is better off dealing with Canada, Mexico & the Caribbean right now.

The US & China are in an epic crocodile & hippo death roll struggle right now.

We don't want to muddy those waters anymore 😔

Read the story ....... This is a cruise port, not a cay.

If it does come to fruition, we would push for the resort to be fully integrated into the Long Island economy and society. We cannot have another enclave developed in this country. We have too many existing today that do not benefit our best national interests.

It's far more than Long Island that has been tricked & fooled by the New Day PLP.

Check the PLP strongholds of Andros & MICAL, just to name a few.

Even other favoured Family Islands are still living on promises such as GB, Eleuthera & Exuma.

But, it ain't long now (2026).
