The auto & insurance cartel grip on the "small man" has been broken ........ access to cheap small Japanese cars have liberated many "lower class" Bahamians ...... The Government is still fleecing the system with gas & RTD fees ........ meanwhile the overcrowded, chaotic streets is symptomatic of our lawless and selfish Bahamian society ........ Dorian & Covid19 have brought out the worst in many.

Quincy Parker who is getting big bucks from our Treasury has no comment ......... but BPL bosses should not sit by and let this poor example of work ethic and dysfunction be allowed to remain in BPL ......... This will further undermine the public's trust in SOEs and their leaders (who are well paid & perked)

Quincy Parker is not doing his job in being accountable and forthright with the taxpayers who pay him and all of BPL staff ......... We The People deserve better ....... Desmond needs to intervene (except, he condones it too)

It is easy for those who have EITHER (a) access to brick & mortar banking (b) deep pockets with little financial strain (c) contacts in Nassau or Freeport to do banking services for them (d) have good internet connection and computer literacy OR (e) can live off the grid with no need for cash.

But for the majority of Family Island people, there is a need for some form of banking to be in place to access their funds OR do some basic levels of commerce with MOST urban suppliers or Government services.

The illusion that Family Islanders can "do without" a bank after having access to banks for 50 years is ludicrous and reeks of urban elitism and prejudice .......... We need the Government to put a Bank of The Bahamas branch in every major Family Island OR update PO banking.

Is The Bahamas in the same "Covid19 situation" as the major US urban areas you named????? ............. I don't think so ........ so who's stupid???

We seem not to be able to think independently in the 242 ......... SAD

The reality is that .......... probably only 30% of public school children are engaged on the online classes and 70% are MIA ............... The politicians are just trying to cover their asses

Penn was disengaged ............. according to the lawsuit.

Maynard should be charged as well ......... he knew and remained silent. he is the perfect example of what a "union" leader should not be. His feeble protest after the facts have been publicized is not worth listening to or even accepting as plausible or credible.

Now, Penn & Maynard will (probably) walk away with big $$$ retirement packages .......... and the "lords of doom" will have a ballsless boss to thank for continuing to have a job with big perks ........ meanwhile, BPL has all of us (suckers) on the hook for $1billion debt & other costs.
