Agreed ............. life is good for doctors in USA, why settle for the peanuts as DCMO in The Bahamas????? ....... Was his wife not a teacher???? Why would she leave FIRST and go and live in Baltimore with four young children?

Agreed .......... a millionaire cannot feel a hungry person (on welfare/handouts) pain

This is a Lose:Lose issue ............ The Government owns the Corporation, employs well paid employees with big benefits, and maintains a losing operation by putting taxpayers money into this "essential" enterprise ........... and it owes this Corporation far more than any private entity/household.

It is foolhardy & disingenuous to cut off the small man's nose to prove a fallacious political point.

Those of you who think that Moultrie is "dumb" .......... wait until our Government become a shithole one like Trump's America ......... There is NO democracy in our present Government

You hit the nail right on the head ......... Titles do not make a leader "competent" or "honourable" ........... cowardly & hollow

OK folks .............. so how will the 242 mitigate its "tourism income replacement" disease for the next THREE years????? Some suggestions may be: (1) fish (2) forest (3) sand (4) salt (5) farms (6) aragonite (7) cascarilla (8) sponge (9) poultry (10) palmetto ...................(develop diverse local products and industries)

Government cannot remove its $800M civil service annual wage bill from the economy ...... it will lead to a certain collapse of the domestic economy for sure.

We have a big advantage ....... location to USA ............. and what is thriving? Sea transport industries ......... So develop that as a niche industry (or has Panama beaten us to the deal?)

The 242 suffers from the disease of "Bahamian exceptionalism" ............. fooling ourselves that we are better than the rest of our caricom partners ........ now that the Dorian & Covid double whammy has exposed just how fragile and unprepared we are to external shocks, we better take time to reflect and change our haughty ways.

But then again, changing the window dressings will not solve our chronically bastardized inept and obsolete "Westminster" model

The PLP should question HOW and WHY these Southern islands are so deserted and depopulated .......... it is their own stupid policies of underdevelopment that has led to this sad state of affairs .......... The FNM did a little, but no real plan was put in place to develop these rural islands by either party (post 1967).

Having a national election now is not sensible ........... having the 2020 Local Govt & School Board elections are necessary

Will watch and wait to see what Nassau will do with those elections ............. #outofsight

Far cheaper too .......... Why did Minnis not arrange for some of these wealthy Bahamians to buy off Grand Lucayan????? .......... Or is it the GBPA that is blocking progress?????? ........... Time to tear up the HCA (1955).
