OIL has created the Persian Gulf states ........ who have taken their oil fortunes and have invested in every known futuristic industry ..... Compare that with the corruption and dysfunction of Nigeria, Trinidad, and Venezuela where poor or shortsighted governance has wasted their oil fortunes.
How much do all of these Executive Chairmen, CEOs, CFOs, Consultants, Board members etc collect from these BROKE corporations and 105 other entities that the Government prop up to keep the gravy train going for its PEPs??????? .............. Peter Turnquest has to answer that as well.
Agree ............ Government needs to SELL or dissolve all of its corporations and SOEs ............... The Government needs to cut its Civil Service and Government Departments by 50% .............. The economy is stagnant and unproductive ............. It must do that NOW.
Pay which schools? ..... Private schools get Govt funding ....... Public schools have school boards ......... What will be the criteria set? ....... 10% base increase YOY in bjc/bgcse Grades A-C passes????? ..... Will teachers of National Honours students get an incentive pay????? Right now, there is NO official credit or rewards given for teachers whose students excel at national exams. Even Police and Nurses get recognized with medals for job well done each year ......... hence poor teachers' and administrators' morale.
