Maybe the Government needs to merge the Post Office and Bank of The Bahamas banking services and put one facility on each island

The white upper-class lady who is the Tribune Owner/Publisher should have this same kind of passion, agitation, and righteous indignation about the **separate and unequal system of education** that is turning tens of thousands of Bahamian black youth into "social animals" ............... Clean your own house (country) first.

The Uncle Tom managers who work at the Tribune should sensitize the boss lady to these matters.

The truth is that most of these inclusive, foreign-oriented home sales developments do not bring much real growth to the communities ..... just menial jobs for paychecks ........ the real wealth is exported to HQ.

But I agree with her .......... school principals should not be at the same salary level as police inspectors ......... That is a serious $$$$$$$$ blight on the education profession.

We do not need more middle managers ......... what we need are empowered teachers and school administrators ........ The curriculum officer does not affect daily implementation of the formal curriculum. This will just add to the muddled oversight that already occurs.

Ask any practicing teacher or principal ........ more curriculum officers will not solve the present public school crises.

Grand Bahama's public schools are among the worse in the country ........... the schools appear to follow US school rules and programs and rarely ever produce any top BJC or BGCSE results - despite the special arrangements provided to give them a level of funding and management of the schools compared to other Out Islands ........ GB is just underperforming and underwhelming because of its entitled belief as a "magic city" ............ The school administrators and teachers need to be accountable to perform for their salaries and perks that they crave so much.

Agreed ........... who is actually making money off the pigs?? ..... the pigs, pig owners and the cay owners make nothing off these ventures at all ....... it's the "others" who do these invasive tours to these "off the beaten track" cays.

The original use of these cays were to use them are stopover food provisioning places when sailing sloops were the norm 100 years ago. Many of these (pig and goat) cays existed throughout the archipelago ..... a few have just become world famous now.

The pigs saga is just like the Fyre Festival saga and the pleasure craft explosion case ........ A little bit of hot air from the Ministers-that-be ......... then collusion and silence.

There is NO sense of Government culpability and accountability when these rogue operators and PEPs are caught red-handed doing all kinds of illegal, corrupt, and unethical activities that hurt our national image.
