The PLP feels that it can do as it pleases, as long as the FNM has Adrian Gibson sitting on the Opposition bench.

I suppose that is their justification for all of these PLP sweetheart deals since 2021.

Nassau is no different from Ukraine or Gaza .......... it is a killing zone

Pipe dream ................. can they get rid of banks in Nassau and Freeport??????

Place a Bank of The Bahamas over there and allow the Andros people to carry out normal banking.

This story needs some clarification. Hartnell seems to be confused about Long Island's geography.

The Fulton development is in the area of Hard Bargain. It lies in the area of the original built up section of the Diamond Crystal salt pans facility.

The Galloway Beach/Wells Point area quoted in the article as been "for sale" is a 22 mile beachfront stretch locally referred to as The Ridge that serves as the main leeward side bonefishing flats area of the island for tourists, bordering The Deadmans Cay Sound and traversed via an inland natural waterway called The Snakes.

This section was originally touted by the Bahamas National Trust as a MPA ....... now the Government wants to sell it off to God knows who????????

For what purpose will the land be used??? To develop a new Miami Beach-like tourism stretch???????

This should not be done without proper consultation with the locals.

When Pindling decided to denigrate Out Island living and placed all of the emphasis on formal school education and urban living ...... The traditional Bahamas prior to Independence ceased to exist and the drug culture, baby Mama culture, foreign hotel culture, homosexual culture, gated community culture, private car culture, and Haitian culture took over Nassau and other community pockets.

Hence, the urban chaos that defines Nassau.

Pintard is Brave's shadow ...... The FNM cannot win with him. Hubbigitty will ensure that Brave wins again to complete the unholy Trinity of SLOP proteges.

The FNMs only chance of winning 2026 is with Hubert Minnis. Brave wutless reign since 2021, has made many Bahamian voters rethink their shallow reasons for voting out HAM.

Minnis will make an FNM comeback because Pintard is a stupid lightweight who licks HAI & Brave's asses for brownie points. Minnis is a real FNM.

On FNM needs unity to have a chance

We are been told that IF our Govt doesn't collect the 15% tax, then the home country of the MNE will collect it.

I am sure that these MNEs will soon find another "third party" loophole in this global policy.

The Bahamas should not bank in this as a windfall.

There should be two categories for payments based on proof provided by the boat owner.

(1) commercial boat owner, be it fisherman or tour operator. The boat is been used to make a living, so pay the higher fees.

(2) recreational boat owner, a person who uses his boat occasionally for personal enjoyment and NOT to earn a living. Those fees should be lower.

Why is there all this hullabaloo about whether your fees are higher if you are a fisherman or a tour boat owner?

No one complains about the license fees for a private car VS a taxicab. Same should apply to sea vessels.

This whole issue has been mishandled by BOTH sides from Day One.

On Industries mixed over up to 75% boating fee cuts

Lawyers just like Davis & Munroe tear apart and discredit jurors who come to sit on cases, even before cases start.

So, do you think Bahamians are going to tolerate getting treated like trash by these uppity loudmouth lawyers with an agenda in courts????

The biggest problem in the courts are (1) the fact that many judges allow the lawyers too much leeway to delay the cases, and (2) the lack of efficiency in providing support evidence documents by PF & medical experts.

The court support services haven't kept pace with the lawyers tactics ....... Hence, case delays are inevitable.
