Lawyers just like Davis & Munroe tear apart and discredit jurors who come to sit on cases, even before cases start.
So, do you think Bahamians are going to tolerate getting treated like trash by these uppity loudmouth lawyers with an agenda in courts????
The biggest problem in the courts are (1) the fact that many judges allow the lawyers too much leeway to delay the cases, and (2) the lack of efficiency in providing support evidence documents by PF & medical experts.
The court support services haven't kept pace with the lawyers tactics ....... Hence, case delays are inevitable.
It is not just the public service workers pensions that are dragging down the government fiscal planning, it is the SOEs and their gaudy salaries & perks, the scores of consultants and PEPs and the Gussiemae Cabinets over the past 30 years.
So don't just blame the lowly paid civil servants. Most only collect $300 per month pensions anyway.
The damage to our banking sector has already been done. Twenty+ years of blacklisting has rendered our international and domestic banking a shell of itself pre-2000.
Blacklisting & webshops have destroyed any form of access to formal quality banking on the Out Islands. We are back to the age of under the bed & rock hole banking. Online & sand dollar banking is still a pipedream for most Out Islanders. Poor internet & support services make it almost impossible to depend on them.
Lots of slackness take place in these Out Islands ...... Crime is crime, whether it's murder in the Nassau ghettos or poaching grouper in Andros or Long Island.

There should be two categories for payments based on proof provided by the boat owner.
(1) commercial boat owner, be it fisherman or tour operator. The boat is been used to make a living, so pay the higher fees.
(2) recreational boat owner, a person who uses his boat occasionally for personal enjoyment and NOT to earn a living. Those fees should be lower.
Why is there all this hullabaloo about whether your fees are higher if you are a fisherman or a tour boat owner?
No one complains about the license fees for a private car VS a taxicab. Same should apply to sea vessels.
This whole issue has been mishandled by BOTH sides from Day One.

These PLP politicians are so disingenuous that it is beyond comprehension.
Davis, Munroe & Mitchell have only revealed the TRUTH that they have nothing left to positively contribute to building this nation for the future.
They should resign immediately

How has this country allowed such a man to build up an underground empire on the backs of the poor, downtrodden underclass????
Who (in power) has allowed this man to amass "dirty money" wealth and has given him legitimate status - even as a national ambassador???
This is proof positive that this country is ruled by pirates.
