Even though Pintard has not gotten off to a good start (for whatever reasons), the country as a whole needs a viable Opposition to counteract the despotic PLP.

So, whether it is Papa or Minnis, the leadership team needs to listen to all factions and try their best to put together the best team possible to contest the 2026 General Election.

As Papa said, if you are a FNM, get on board and fight the PLP. Dont stay home and bitch

The public school system is in crisis when it comes to having sufficient teachers and administrators. It is both a quantity and quality issue.

Much of the problem has to do with union demands & obstruction, as much as with HQ blunders & logistics.
Too many Bahamians are not prepared to serve outside of NP & GB. The Govt cannot attract or keep school staff to rural communities due to the issue of hardship and domicility policies.

So, there is much work to be done all around.

Birdie

Do you live and work in Long Island today?

Do you know how the New Day PLP has frustrated the citizens of Long Island since 2021?

Do you still support the kangaroo court case against the LI MP that has been used to punish his constituency as well???

Do you endorse the New Day attempt to sabotage the development of LI in an attempt to try and win the seat in the 2026 election?????

That's a simple fix. Revise the tiny ghetto seats where the Haitians vote for the PLP. Then move the seats to the South where the people now live.

Just don't cut any Family Island seats OR expand the total number of seats. The cost of Government is already too much for the relative size of our country.

So there's only one FNM witch hunt left in the New Day bag of tricks ...... And that is a personal grudge case for the PM.

It just looks so glaringly stupid now, given that the Beaches & Parks accusations were far more than the alleged WSC $1.2 million "fraud" case.

Classic case of politicians using the old "divide & conquer" strategy to weaken or breakup unions when the union leaders are not supportive of their political agendas.

Sad situation in our country 😔😔

The MOE Minister is right.

The national results reflect the BEST of the students who actually sign up to take these national exams. It doesn't account for those who don't write any or few exams.

In truth, many students do not even take the required five BJCs much less pass them. Every year, the BEST results are heavily skewed towards the students in the private schools who pass most of the exams with quality grades.

Another thing that she isn't telling the public is that in most PUBLIC schools, the kids are taking BJCs all the way up to Grade 12 in the hope of getting five to graduate, while most kids in private schools take BJCs in only Grades 7-9. In other words, most public high schools are now teaching more for BJC than for BGCSE.

If the results were actually presented as PUBLIC vs private schools, it would be truly embarrassing to MOE. But, the Minister is a QC graduate, so she living in her bubble.

Was this a PLP rent-a-crowd????

Because (honestly), Bahamians with any real good sense won't march with these New Day gangsters.

Most 242 workers are hanging on for dear life in this economy, so nothing much to be merry about.

What MP Major is highlighting is the corruption of the democratic process in the 242 Legislature where a political party wins by a landslide (32-7) and then places 26 MPs in the Cabinet and leaves 6 as backbenchers.

What the PM has effectively done is silenced the MPs by paying them off with Cabinet perks and buying their loyalty to him.

As a result, the freedom to speak Truth to power as a MP is removed and "collective silence" becomes the order of the day. Hence the PM can rule as a de facto dictator in Parliament.

The system was designed for citizens to vote for their MP who will represent their interests in Parliament. What we have today are lackeys who bam on the desks in support of their Leader. It is not democracy by any stretch of the definition of the word.

Pastor Major will be silenced in short order.

The PLP Mafia will make sure that he is replaced by a PLP royal family member.

A good Long Island man with a courageous heart who is not afraid to speak Truth to power.
