Lol. It says he joined the RBDF in 1987 which would make it **32 years that he was on the force**. Not that he is 32 years old. Unless they recruited babies back then. Don't know how recent the picture is, but that would mean he's around 50 at least.
Agreed. If **legal** Bahamians can't just go and claim land without later paying the consequences...how can immigrants do this with land they don't own?
Yeah, that response time was completely unprofessional.
Who knows, they may have saved one of their lives if they got there earlier. I mean they could have been already deceased, but it may have made a difference.

So many police is this country are nonchalant when a real crime is occurring. But when they are ready to accuse someone, they are quick to beat someone up. smh
Wow, what a harrowing story.
The sad thing is... this is probably one of the *better* experiences of many of the people there.

My heart breaks for Abaco and Grand Bahama. I know many of us have family there too. It's just sad all around.
No it's true. Well at least they are now saying a **Cat 3 - 115 mph** just before it hits Florida. Go to weather.com/storms/hurricane-central (But the **middle** of the cone has it slightly east of us. However these trajectories do tend to change.)

Storms always intensify as they move over The Bahamas unfortunately.
Another thing with the government schools is that you have a few schools that are fully air-conditioned. Therefore, if the power is off for 3 to 4 hours that means there will be no ventilation and darkness (some of the "inner" classrooms have no windows).

Plus, BPL said this problem will go on until **November**, exams usually start end of November and 1st week December. So what kind of first school term will this really be?
Well you know the old adage... **he who fails to plan, plans to fail**!!
