This is very sad. Agreed, viable solutions need to be presented. So tired of rhetoric and political optics!

Wow... alternate universe much?
In any war like this, they have already estimated an extremely high casualty count, no matter who wins.

Umm... teachers get free books? Don't know about that. I know many public school teachers and they constantly spend out of their OWN pockets to get resources for their students. Public schools generally have the 'bare bones' materials for students that have to be shared among many classes.
Hold on, forget about globalization... didn't those same nurses say how they were not being paid for months (even the measly salary there were entitled to).. and you surprised they left? You can't be serious!
Government does this too much! So many long time civil servants owed back pay. Persons not getting pension on time. Wages not being regularized. I mean some folks wait for years to get the right salary. Y'all need to get this right... [And dey act like dis normal!]

I always liked Greenslade. I thought he showed sincerity in the way he handled himself.
I do pray the next one will work sensibly. Sometimes things get worse not better. We shall see...

Oh nooo.... I can't accept Duane Sands' incompetence. One would think he just became responsible for this portfolio without being a doctor for many years. How long have you worked as a doctor, how many problems did you see then? Did you never think EVER in ANY of that time, boy if it was up to me I would change this or that - to make things better.
Or were you just in the health system to get a salary. I am so sick and tired of this minister's excuses. Yes prior administrations did crap, but it's **your** turn now. what are you going to do? Not everything is a *long-term* solution. I am SURE there are things that can be done NOW, to at least help alleviate some of the horrible experiences of patients at PMH. Or do you just not care? Will you just bide your time, do nothing and see how long you can get by with blaming the previous administration. Oh my gosh, there is no Minister in any other Ministry that I see blame past failures as much as this guy. I think ALL other ministers will do a better job. Even D'Aguilar is looking like a genius compared to him.
It's really sad! My heart goes out to the families of the patients who needlessly die at PMH!
