ThisisOurs, I am not so sure that rate of infection and rate of discovery are actually mutually exclusive. The more troubling question is whether both are doubling - i.e. as we test more we discover more and that the infected pass it on to the uninfected. I believe this is what is occurring in The Bahamas. But, your overall point that we test everyone seems to be a reasoned action.
Would it kill you, observer2, to actually use proper grammar when you comment? The nonsense that you have posted above is indicative of our D-grade education sector. Or, do you think you are being "down with the home boys", when you write such slop? Geez.
DWW, come on man, don't swallow up the rhetoric. You honestly believe that there is only 1 single case in The Bahamas? Stop it! I agree with mudda, who normally is the definition of "hyperbole", but, in this instance, he is correct. Social distancing policies should have been implemented from once we saw that the disease was immediately north of us (Florida), immediately west of us (Cuba) and south of us (Jamaica). No excuse for not doing so...none!
Under no circumstances should the names of the infected be released to the public. Utter silly garbage. Firstly, that would cause all kinds of lawsuits - health matters are private (ever wonder why we don't have a list of the HIV-positive, for instance?) Secondly, that would only lead to ass hysteria. Just look at the nonsense on these comment boards about the virus as evidence of that...and you now want to exponentially increase the panic by publicly revealing the infected? SMDH. Mr. McCarthy would like a word with you, sir.
The immigration policy, including throwing children in cages and deportation -save for the wall nonsense- is an Obama policy, actually. Strange, but true. Unemployment decrease is a direct result of Obama (cnn, msnbc, Department of Labor, have all empirically, i.e. with data, confirmed this). So, still not much for Trump to hype himself about. But, he sure loves his golf!
Oh this was such a good laugh....literally, I am rolling in my chair laughing. I nearly spat out my triple grande maple latte. The Tribune - standing for the underdog? hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Thank you, Kevin for this wonderful joke.

Notwithstanding all of that mudda, what he is saying here is true. We are certainly on the highway to a recession. I don't think that can be argued.
