Obviously has some issues, but if he was serious about offing himself he should have picked a spot where the water is deeper than waist deep.

But Tal,
Aren’t all of your baked edibles ingredients imported or have you been buying local from Abaco? Would appear that retailer out of business now, you might have to consider imports, nod once for yeah, twice for no.

Renward Wells and the current administrations' achievements or lack thereof aside, the opposition, Bodies choice as the sensible alternative, well let's just say that their track record in government is less than savory.
And Wells was obviously good enough for them until he was thrown under the bus by Bodie's idol, that paragon of virtue Brave Davis, for the LOI debacle.
And while I would agree that some form of income tax would be preferable to VAT, as Bodie himself points out there has been little to no accountability from a
ANY government to date.
Also, you can't make the poor rich by making the rich poor.
Some of us are also reluctant to shoulder a larger percentage of the fiscal burden only to see it spent on starving lawyers and, as Bodie labels them the unwashed masses, who no sooner get their hands on couple dollars they blow it on rum, dope, numbers, weave, nails, and by investing heavily in the hairy bank.

Ever stop to notice that many households in the US never open their windows even if they are able to be opened. With the low cost of electricity, 10-12 cents per kWh, as opposed to 45-50 cents per KWh over here, most Americans never turned their air conditioning off unless there’s a power failure which are few and far between unless there’s a storm.
So yes, recycled air could be a germ spreader for them, in this country were many can’t even afford to run a fan and a fridge I can’t see Airconditioning contributing too much to the spread of COVID.

Just another potcake barking to hear himself.
As usual, all criticism without a single sensible suggestion as to how he or his party would address the problems facing the country, no bipartisanship on display here, no love of country, only love of self and party.
As one famous statesman described politicians of his ilk " He's asked to stand, he wants to sit, he is expected to lie."

People in Nassau better batten down the hatches, while I sympathize with the folks in Abaco it is far worse in Nassau and the police response here is just as anemic.
Despite the vigilance of neighborhood crime watch groups, there has been a serious uptick in burglaries, vehicle break-ins, and armed robberies.
The police seem to be more intent on busting covid violators and street vendors than more serious crimes, whenever you call them for any reason you always come away with the impression that you have just inconvenienced them.

Agreed, complete and utter hogwash!

Sunlight contains three types of UV. First there is UVA, which makes up the vast majority of the ultraviolet radiation reaching the Earth’s surface. It’s capable of penetrating deep into the skin and is thought to be responsible for up to 80% of skin ageing, from wrinkles to age spots.

Next there’s UVB, which can damage the DNA in our skin, leading to sunburn and eventually skin cancer (recently scientists have discovered that UVA can also do this). Both are reasonably well known, and can be blocked out by most good sun screens.

Both UVA and UVB damage the skin — but nothing is as damaging as UVC which is the type of UV required to kill viruses.

3rd UVC. This relatively obscure part of the spectrum consists of a shorter, more energetic wavelength of light. It is particularly good at destroying genetic material – whether in humans or viral particles. Luckily, most of us are unlikely to have ever encountered any. That’s because it’s filtered out by ozone in the atmosphere long before it reaches our fragile skin.

So go on out there and fry yourself on the beach thinking you can't be infected by your neighbors, you probably believe that Preparation H is good for wrinkles too.

Selfish and blind? No!
Sensible and frugal yes, but then what has any of that got to do with your constitutional rights being trod on?
I was disciplined enough to put a couple of dollars away each week over the last fifty years of my working life, all of it in the private sector I might add, instead of pissing it away on rum, dope , gambling or a stable full of women who weren’t my wife, so I have had the benefit of a rapidly depleting nest egg.
At the moment, like many others employed in the private sector, I’m laid off as the company I work for has been closed for some time.
All this doesn’t prevent me from behaving sensibly and respecting the laws put in place by the authorities.
Poor life choices have a nasty way of coming back to bite you on the ass, the unfortunate part of that is far too many undeserving people get caught up in their stupidity.

By the way, it is not yours or anyone else’s constitutional “right’’ to ignore proper protocols and become potential super spreaders of Covid, 97 new cases yesterday, in your personal pursuit of happiness and freedom at the expense of others health and happiness.
Bahamians are one set of ungrateful, selfish and self centered people, always bitching and complaining but never an original idea of their own or a useful or helpful suggestion.
So yes, please do us all a favor and sit small in your corner quietly minding your own business!
