Would the Minister care be to hazard a guess as to how many of these cases originated from the Getaway Lounge restaurant, you know the one that serves meals exclusively to police officers and fish fingers and pork chop dinners to those poor souls incarcerated by them. Have any efforts been made to do any contact tracing back to this establishment? The plot sickens!
With all due respect to Prof Woolhouse, opinions are like arse holes in that everyone has one. Lockdowns do work, albeit not without a detrimental effect on economies , but South Korea is a typical case in point having recently reinstated lockdowns. With a population of 51.6 million people they have had only 17,000 cases to date and only 309 deaths. Kind of hard to argue with numbers like that when with a population of less than half a million the Bahamas has 1,813 cases, 48 deaths, not to mention the mayhem experienced by our neighbors to the North caused by the orange idiot in the Might is Right House.
It took your staff six hours to assemble some electrical components? You don’t buy materials specifically for the contract? Don’t you have any stock on your own shelves, or you relying on AG now that Taylor gone under?
So, the Worthy Bishop thinks that on top of hurricane relief, unemployment benefits, and food assistance the government should be paying people's rent as well? Two billion shouldn't be any problem, dem couple acres of money trees Perry and Brave dem planted down to BAMSI should be ready for harvesting any day now. If dat een enough, we could always fall back on we oil fields, Aragonite mines and the domestic guano factory the Bishop running.
If you people honestly believe that they are providing pork chops, chicken and fish fingers for suspects in custody then I guess you can bullshit people all of the time. I can’t help but think of that old saying, “when you dumb, you dangerous” The Commissioner of Police should hang his head and offer his resignation for such a ridiculous response. This country is really in the toilet now and the stuff in the bowl is now rapidly circulating.
Man, You one sick puppy, I haven’t seen any skinned cat carcasses anywhere in this town. As an animal lovers and cat owner I find your comments offensive, wish someone could skin your ass and hang it out to dry, be too poisonous to eat though.
Carry on Dr. Minnis and keep your shoulder to the wheel while these empty barrels continue to make all this noise. Take some comfort from the words of that savy old politician Winston Churchill who said " I would rather argue with a hundred idiots than have one of them agree with me."
Does their staffs alleged political affiliation nullify the message? Anyone who doesn’t believe that Bahamians are their own worst enemy in the fight against this pandemic isn’t playing with a full deck.
