It looks like a few more Hanna/Smith type contracts and failed prosecutions are on the horizon.

**"Oh, those single use plastic bags.. I know the environmentalists will scream but really this is a political knee-jerk exercise... is there any definitive stat which inclines how many supermarket plastic bags end up in the seas around our islands? I doubt it is very high."**

If you believe this you obviously don't drive around Nassau very often and also many of the Family Islands where the road verges are literally choked with plastic bags and styrofoam containers.

Likewise, you obviously don't do much boating or diving or you wouldn't make such a patently ignorant statement. One of the more common nuisances boaters have encountered for years is picking up plastic bags on our lower units causing an overheat alarm on our engines, not to mention the mortality rate of sea turtles mistakenly eating or becoming entangled in them.
Take acloser look the next time you'e on the road or at the beach if you ever go there.

People like Ferguson and Pinder and their minions have never had to make payroll every week, pay BPL, BTC, business license, real property tax, medical insurance and pension contributions, customs, or have to absorb the daily teifin by a large percentage of our so-called workforce many of whom are at best semiliterate and have little or no work ethic.
Yet these unionist dinosaurs continue to posture and pontificate while living off the sweat of their members who are, for the most part, too ignorant to see how they're being taken advantage of.

**This is what the FNM has planned for Eleuthera????**
YES, and this is also what the ignorant and greedy people living there clamored for despite being presented with more viable homegrown options. Sell your environment for some drinks and a t-shirt and some jobs raking the beach.

When I think of some of the gangsters that were Knighted under various PLP administrations, the destruction of businesses and the raping of pension funds among others come to mind, I can only shake my head at Mitchell and Davis' opposition to someone of impeccable character like Godfrey Kelly being so honored. Their main opposition stems no doubt from their ability to honor themselves having since come to an end.

Bodie must have been smoking some of that almost decriminalized marijuana. Which members of the governing party have crossed the floor and joined the official opposition? As for the Minister of National Security having a personal vendetta, well let's just say that the cleanup of the senior ranks of the RBPF, having been seriously undermined by the rash of PLP politically motivated promotions, is long overdue and necessary. A recent Editorial in the Nassau Guardian by Candia Dames very succinctly spelled out the damage that was wrought by that exercise.
As for the coming blizzard he is predicting, you have to weather the storm to arrive in safe harbor and it is necessary to break eggs to make an omelet. It will also be a cold day in hell when, despite the many missteps of the present government, that thinking people would consider the PLP as they are currently structured as an alternative.

The irony of it is that if they were fined $10,000 for not reinstating the road as has been previously suggested in government circles it will only be added to the Legacy Debt which the latest albatross about to be hung around the publics neck.
