What do the people of Eleuthera expect to gain with the "150" jobs promised? More cleaning and janitorial jobs, more putting out beach furniture and cleaning up garbage is what will be on offer. Does any of them really believe there will be high paid positions on offer?
They will be like Esau and will have sold their birthright and that of their children and children's children for a mess of pottage.

A couple of weekends ago a friend of mine brought a buoy back to the boat she had picked up on a north side island beach which she wanted to keep as a porch decoration. On closer examination this turned out to be a long line trot line buoy, complete with terminal tackle minus hooks.
Could be left over from the Tennyson Korean fishing boat days but I doubt it.

Yes, while Frankie Wilson lurks in the shadows licking his chops. Disney or the Sunshine Group, what the difference? When did the peoples wishes mean anything, don't ever expect governments to do the right thing.

Absolutely correct Porcupine, unfortunately a culture of slackness has been encouraged in this country for the last fifty years resulting in the prevailing attitude of "I want a job, not work!"

Agreed, aside from the threats of sabotage out of his own mouth for which he should certainly be questioned by the Internal Security police, these union idiots don't seem to recognize that their stupidities don't have any effect on BPL, but on the community as a whole including their own families.
If it could be proved that Maynard and his unionists deliberately shut of the power they should be held accountable for payment of the losses suffered by businesses and households throughout the affected areas of the community.
A big slap in their wallet as well as their face is just what they need.

This is just plain wrong.
How can you justify giving $4,000 per household to Ragged Islanders while completely ignoring the plight of those Bahamians in Rum Cay, Long Island, Andros and Grand Bahama whose homes were also destroyed in Hurricane Joaquin and Mathew?

In a civilized or first world country you would be correct, however I await with bated breath for evidence of the unions in this country enriching or even improving the financial circumstances of their members. For the union executives, lavish homes, expensive cars and European vacations, for the rank and file, diddly squat!

@ The_Oracle, in complete agreement with you, unfortunately these parasites like many of their sort are particularly resilient and will be difficult if not impossible to eradicate.
Audit their books? Wishful thinking, it will never happen in this country under any government.
