No doubt hoping for the free lunch and other government subsidies not available in this country should the Canadian Government actually entertain this farce. I'm reliably informed that none of them appeared to be undernourished or scantily clad by any stretch of imagination.
As prominent attorney Jeanne Thompson points out, will the average vacation home rental person be offered the same concessions under the Hotels Encouragement Act in exchange for their taxes? Will they get duty exemption and other concessions if they want to renovate their property? What about those owners not affiliated with Airbnb? Will the MOT also promote vacation rental properties as they do the hotels? What input will vacation home rental owners have in framing the proposed legislation, will they be consulted? All very pertinent questions raised by Ms. Thompson
Speaking of sink holes Birdie, what would you call BAMSI? Dey gat all kinda Sink Hole, Ocean Hole an PLP a..holes in da Big Yard . Maybe if Doc dem had some a dat $80 million the Gray Grinder dem put in dat sink hole dey could better afford to bail dem poor Grand Bahamian people out dat toilet. By the way PLP's live in Freeport too.
There are no rules as to where or where not you can operate your skiff, boat, vessel in the harbour provided that you don't anchor in a recognized shipping channel or turning basin. The question I would raise here is did the skiff have running lights and if so were they on. The RBDF are not always as professional as you think, many times I have seen them myself tearing through the harbour at night with no lights showing. Also their enforcement of the no wake zone within the harbour limits is a joke, I've seen them stop family's for barely leaving a ripple while the jet skis and druggie go fast boats act like jitneys on the water, selective enforcement I believe they call that. If the boat that the young man was in had running lights and they were illuminated the case is closed and the RBDF crew should be held accountable.
Birdie, I notice that you and the other "die hard PLP' in your praises of Hanna-Martin have studiously avoided the subject of all the millions that went missing from Road Traffic under her watch including her reluctance to install the very expensive software, which we the people paid for incidentally, the lack of which facilitated said 'tiefing. Who knows, maybe yinna get a cut...................
Well one thing for sure, judging from the constant flow of effluent that issues from you Birdie, I doubt you were the recipient of a loan for higher education and if you were it was public money wasted.
@ DDK,I recall a benevolent old gentleman now deceased who advocated exactly that,Public hangings in Rawson Square, only difference is that he said he would have sold peanuts and popcorn LOL.
