The Harold road dump has been there for a long time in an area that at the time was sparsely populated. It was a brilliant idea of our government to build a low cost housing subdivision right next to it and a conscious decision of the people who bought into it to live there.
Can't think of a single location left in Nassau where it could be relocated, we need to think of other more modern method of waste disposal. We did at one time in fact have a solid waste processing plant located at the Harold road dump but like all other things run by we guvment it was allowed to wither and decay and finally die when the furriners running it departed.

Civil Uprising?? As if we don't suffer enough now from destruction of property and person. Bernard Nottage and Keith Bell probably salivating at the thought of trying out some of their new Chinese military hardware on folks like you.

More loony tunes from Obie Ferguson. What is the purpose of trying to ratify an agreement with an employer that is loosing money and has decided to throw in the towel?
If he pushes the envelope too hard they'll simply close the door, after all he's dealing with the Chinese.
Why is it that these union lunatics think that even when a business is no longer economically viable that the owners must continue to bend over and take it in order for Mr. Ferguson and his associates to justify their existence and their exploitation of the people they're supposedly trying to assist?
Looks like the unemployment line in Freeport about to get longer.

I een seen to many hyshuns tearing down the people fence on PI the other day and they was some of the most angry people I seen in a while.
You want to see the cause of our societal problems just look in the mirror like all the the rest of us ignorant complacent Bahamians that have allowed our own people to destroy our country in a short 40 years.

Ah well, Minnis has opened his mouth to change feet again. Does he actually smell the stuff he's shoveling?
This statement shows that at the heart of the matter they have no more regard for the rule of law than the scumbags they're trying to depose.

themessenger says...

No one has a problem with the Chinese buying if the Bahamians won't, what most of us have a problem with is our government cutting deals that leave Bahamians as spectators at the banquet.

If the money supposedly being allocated for NHI was redirected a new hospital certainly could be built. Just leave the Bahamas government, Exim Bank and CCA out of the equation.

Just off the cuff, is Ortland Bodie, self proclaimed PLP advocate, still of the opinion that Brave is the anointed one?

Surely you meant clearly and painfully stated. Those money trees down at BAMSI must be bearing like crazy with all the fertilizer they getting from PGC and Halitosis.
The government owes The IDB $273M of which $33Mwas for "reform and modernization of The State" whatever the hell that is. Another $27.5M for "Social investment;" is that another term for foreign bank accounts?
These morons are spending as if there is no tomorrow and if it continues there probably won't be.
