Birdie, the fact that Scotia Bank was able to brush off the loss of their equity stake in Baha Mar because of the loan default precipitated by our government without having to rape the peoples pension funds at NIB for $100 million shows the difference between a Canadian run bank and a Bahamian run bank.
The Bahamian people are the jackass that Christie, Mitchell & Co are riding to death, even the manipulation and disregard of the Courts is not beneath them.
And implementing a poorly conceived NHI will do away with the same government health officials that are pissing away $100 million a year now and relieve the current overload? We have new mini hospitals on various islands built with taxpayer money that aren't even open for lack of equipment and staff, for Gods sake fix whats broken first before further compounding the problem.
Will never see the light of day with this crew runnin things, dem who ain misogynistic, sissy, even the women 'mongst dem don't speak up on their own behalf.
Not defending the hotel manager if what reportedly happened to the Grand Bahama Youth Choir and their Director is factual as that sort of behavior is not acceptable. However, the Immigration dept seems to be throwing its weight around quite a bit these days even to the point of ignoring the courts, ask Bruno Rufa, also condoning the beating of illegals by the Defense Force, ask the Cubans, Jamaicans and Haitians. On another note, who gat more suck teet, fish mout and stink attitude than Bahamians when it comes to authority especially if its Foreign.
Stupid woman, doesn't she realize that witnesses have been getting assassinated for the last couple of years and, understandably are very hesitant to testify, and the juries are drawn for the most part from people who consider it a vacation rather than a duty. Any juror chosen with a modicum of intelligence, more so if they're white, are immediately challenged off by the slick well connected lawyers that seemingly hold more sway than the presiding Justice. Perhaps she'll get on board with the Chief Justices suggestion that the court backlog could be reduced by use of Noli Prosequi, something she is no doubt familiar with and a panel of Judges in some matters rather than a jury of our "peers".
