Birdie, you are now and have always been a stranger to the truth when it comes to your despicable party, and your sorry analogies regarding ANGEL food cake is another pathetic attempt to depict the FNM as a White supremacist party and your disgusting PLP's as the champions of the downtrodden blacks when the reality is that both parties have most miserably failed the Bahamian people of every color. One of these days, hopefully sooner than later, the wolf will be at your door and we will see what tune you sing then, you might even be blessed with a visit from the omnipotent Bernard Nottage to sooth your wounds after.
Best wishes to Pastor Major and his family and wishing you and them a speedy recovery from your ordeal. On another note it was quite comical watching Bernard Nottage and the police hierarchy falling all over themselves in a pathetic attempt at damage control for the benefit of the press. Collectively they have the country floating downstream on a sewer in a sieve.
People like the Moskos, Symonettes, Coles, Pritchards, Pyfroms (including Holoweskos), Bethels, Kellys are exactly who we need running the country, business men and women instead of teifin lawyers.
All of that aside, and I don't have even a minute of my time for Mr. Roberts, it would be beneficial to all of us who are desperate to replace Roberts and his band of thieves if the good doctor would educate us as to what each of his chosen candidates actually bring to the table and will they actually serve for the benefit of the country instead of the party & themselves. While I hear what Minnis is preaching, read My Say today's Tribune,we don't need more of the same sort of representation we've been cursed with for the last 40 years be they yellow, red or green.
For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
Imagine what Atlantis Execs, not to mention the tourists, will think when Hanna-Martin's machine gun toting police and RBDf marines hit the beaches in pursuit of those natural Bahamian jet ski operators, more Bahamian class and culture on display .
This Christie led government has truly taken our country to the bottom of the toilet bowl, even the law enforcement agencies tiefin, raping & sex taping. Well kiss a duck egg dread, dese mussy da last days fa true.
Economist I agree with all that, my point is I will have to pay the payroll tax whether I use NHI or not. While My family and I currently enjoy the benefits of private insurance, which we pay through the nose for, for many families it will simply become a matter of economics; they have to pay the government like it or not but having paid Caesar is there enough left to pay Paul ?
Just one question Mr. Komolafe; as it will be mandatory for all citizens to register for NHI and as we will have to pay our contribution to the government willy nilly, what incentives will the insurance industry be offering the public to stay with their existing private coverage, the cost of which is exorbitant now to say the least??
Maybe they can take Smitty back to the scene of the crime and he could show them what he was really attempting to do. Who knows he might be successful this time.
