Not taking anything away from our furry friends as Bahamians do treat animals abominably, but are we as a people also aware the number of deranged, homeless and people begging on the streets whose numbers are rapidly increasing by the day? I have traveled in Europe, the US, and Canada and have seldom if ever encountered the number of stray animals or destitute people as we have on the streets of Nassau.

How do you expect a people who have no pride in themselves nor their own filthy everyday & home environs to be the torchbearers for your clean, green & pristine campaign?
If & when we as a people someday achieve some pride in ourselves then what you wish may become a reality.
Well sheepie muh homie, if we gubument pay $60 a month for 100k civil servants per year dat would be $72 million per year out da public purse. Meantime da rest of us in da private sector who gatta pay we own contributions standing to the window like beggars at a banquet. That’s what I would call fair and equitable wouldn’t you??
