@pileit, when dealing with individuals like John be mindful of the old saying “ sometimes you have to stop arguing with people and just let them be wrong!”
@ComradeTal, Perhaps they didn’t teach us the Queen’s English along with reading, writing an arithmetic, but the educational system in we Bahamas does definitely teach you bout rum, numbers, chicken and crabbie, Yes?
Four tings sure ga sell even in da wake of hurricane destruction and change of government, rum, numbers, chicken & crabbie, and not necessarily in dat order neither , Lol.
The radical Reverend Sebastian can lay the blame for this slight of our brave sailors firmly at the feet of his clay footed idol, the so called Father of the Nation whose misrule and that of those who followed laid the foundations for the dysfunctional society we now live in. It’s also interesting that it’s taken 42 years for the radical Reverend’s conscience to get the better of him, but, better late than never.
"Thank God, that here in The Bahamas we have sensibly, like most other nations in the world, restricted access to gun ownership. This is one instance of American insanity and permissiveness from which we have been restrained in the promotion and protection of the preciousness of human life."
Unfortunately I beg to differ, here in the Bahamas and in Nassau in particular it. is easier to get a gun on the streets than a hot dinner.
As for the promotion and protection of the preciousness of human life, well, that ship sailed and sank some time ago.
@carlton61: You can thank the racist and radical Reverend Sebastian and his Nationalist zealot followers for that, those who think they can change history with the stroke of a pen, an act of Parliament or destroying a few statues.
And while you’re at it, why don’t you have the shamefully desecrated statue of Columbus restored and and placed in a position of prominence there, a truly fitting resting place for that weary navigator.
