Boy! For someone who is as unpopular as Mitchell and the PLP like to make out, Minnis sure still seems to have a lot of pull in the civil service, Lol. The civil service has been a hot mess since Pindling's time, as a well know Statesman once said " No longer civil, no longer servants!"
@sheeprunner, I'm unsure what Board appointment he got if any and he certainly didn't get reinstated or a QC, but he sure as hell got chapped lips from all the ass kissing he does.
Either the Tribune's editor has a serious lack of literary contributions for publication or that worthy has a serious appetite for Bodie's oily obsequiousness and sycophantic scribblings Ad Nauseum.
The writer should be commended for again bringing the desecration of our environment to notice, but public awareness must go beyond letter writing and petitions.
Environmental awareness, protection and preservation should be taught from an early age. Most of our children, especially those living in inner city areas of Nassau, are completely oblivious and ignorant of the environment on the whole. They look at a coastal mangrove and see a swamp, they don’t see a vital link in coastal stabilization, storm surge protection or marine nursery for the replenishment of our fisheries.
They see a shark and cry kill it not recognizing its importance as an apex predator vital to the health of the entire marine environment nor its value to our tourism industry.
They see a forest but only see bush not recognizing it’s importance to our many bird species, some found nowhere else in the world, and the many others that migrate through our country every year and not to mention the quality of the very air we breathe.
The list is long and nature and the environment complex with seemingly insignificant things having monumental or even catastrophic effects on other parts of the whole.
Education is where it all starts and, unfortunately, we find ourselves way behind the curve in that regard.
@tal, a classic case of the inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings, the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries-Yes?
Bird droppings, as usual your political bias prevents you from seeing the bigger picture while we wait to see if the PLP will do the honorable thing and give the carnival their money back before telling them, as Tal so quaintly put it, to carry dey bungee bundles, Lol.
The PM left his most ardent and loyal bun butterer off his QC list. How could he could appoint stooges like Rigby and Ferguson and forget about his “boy” Bodie? Reinstatement at the very least for the countless anointments faithfully applied.
Birdie, crawl back under your rock like a good lil crab. You could fix ya juicy mout round dat anyway ya like but da facts is the PLP gave them people permission to come in and set up, or a price of course, and now telling them to carry dey ass. What alla we would like to know is will Brave dem give the people dey money back and will the PLP reimburse them for all of their on costs for shipping and setting up all that equipment, work permits etc. I highly doubt it. What do do say about when teif teif from teif?? Every government we've had since independence has been a circus the only things that change are the clowns.
