They keep growing the size of our unqualified and unproductive civil workforce everywhere and then telling us how they need to raise our taxes and or increase our national debt. What a truly pathetic and most incompetent and corrupt bunch they all are!!
Things are so financially bad at BPL that Cabinet had little choice but to take the chains off of the 800 pound gorilla in the room and then give Sears the unpleasant task of trying to cushion its fright of all financially strapped electricity consumers. this is davis's way of putting us on notice that we should expect a wickedly hot summer combined with a whopping increase in our electricity bills, the likes of which we will have never seen before.
Had it not been for Biden's very foolish decisions resulting in the disastrous way in which the U.S. exited Afghanistan, Putin would not have been incentivized to go to war with the Ukraine.
And to add insult to injury, Biden both shamefully and shamelessly failed to acknowledge in his State of the Union address last night the 13 U.S. soldiers who lost their lives at the Kabul airport because of his gross incompetence as Commander and Chief.
You had better just pray the increasingly nutty and isolated Putin doesn't decide to fire off a 'big one' aimed at the large U.S. military base in Homestead, Florida, because it would surely take out most if not all of the Northern Bahamas. The world would be lucky to survive three more years of the Biden presidency.
Like our elitist political ruling class, this fool has clearly pivoted to blaming everything on Russia's invasion of the Ukraine. Nothing like a good geo-political skirmish half-way round the world to replace COVID as the convenient excuse for all of our countries woes attributable to decades of raping, pillaging and plundering by a super greedy corrupt political ruling class.
It is all too obvious banks, insurance companies and pension plans no longer have any risk appetite for longer duration treasury instruments issued by the government that would essentially be considered "junk" grade.
Even the offer of high yields (higher rates of interest) would not sweeten the foul odour of a looming debt crisis. And that is the result of investors having zero faith in the ability of the current Davis and Cooper led PLP administration. It is impossible for those two to curtail their waywardness and do something (anything) positive for our economy. They will now try harder than ever to sell whatever they can of our country to the hovering foreign vultures at fire sale prices. The writing has been on the wall for quite sometime now.
Davis and Cooper will no doubt insist we explore negotiating the sale of several of our larger and less inhabited southern islands to the Communist Chinese Government for US$2 billion. For all we know they may be negotiating the deal right now in Belize with representatives of the Chinese Communist Party. This Davis and Cooper led administration would just love to get its hands on that kind of money. LOL
And Peter Maury should have noted that economic contribution of marinas in The Bahamas is before the super yachts of the Russian oligarchs arrive to hideout. LOL
