đ¤Śââď¸ Is she serious? The issue isn't about the month when you get insurance, it's people not having insurance. What idiotic nonsense. Penalize people for not having insurance. This is lunacy to create legislation to force people to pay insurance in their birth months. So, now you have to sort out your insurance then battle Road Traffic in the same month. All the actual legislation we need we can't get but these people find time to put in place that does zero to address the actual issue here, uninsured/unlicensed vehicles. So, after this law goes into effect she assumes people somehow will not be on the road uninsured or without a car license. She can't be serious. This is the danger of putting certain people in political posts. They frustrate a situation instead of fixing it.
It's great that he defeated the former PM, Minnis. It's definitely time for a new face. I'm not sure how he will fare as PM but given what we've had in the last decade, the bar is pretty low. From the lack of negative press about his character, we can assume he's at least a good person or better said, a clean politician. I sincerely hope that he can get the right people behind him and that they can win the next election and start to turn this country around. The current PM is on rockstar party mode since 2021. Someone forgot to tell him he needs to govern this country. The million dollar question is, who is at the wheel? Is it our hot tempered Minister of Foreign Affairs, the frequent flyer miles politician?
In times when tourism numbers drop that's when locals with good residual incomes can patronize these large resorts to keep things going. Of course that would remain these resorts would need to actually try to be less "anti black" Bahamians.
A curiosity I have is why the government is so quick to give crown land to any foreign investor but carry Bahamians through hell for years and years and may still not give an approval. There is a need for opportunities for smaller properties to be established which would allow for locals to better participate in the tourism industry. I would like a large parcel of Cable Beach crown land for a hotel project myself. But, would the government give me a non-foreigner, black Bahamian the approval for use of crown land?
Lol. I find this case amusing. So, the issue is he didn't show prices for breadbasket items? So, if he didn't show the prices for everything else, he is fine? So many times prices are missing or prices for a different item is below the the item you are looking at.
We have government workers stealing; government vehicles being used as personal vehicles; government ministers traveling like rappers with an entourage buy we find it extremely important to ensure we apply the law for a missing sign for breadbasket items. Smh. I'm not saying this guy is right for not having the sign. I just fund it interesting that we overlook so much big things but find time to focus on one or two smaller items to make a point.
Seriously?! I don't get this guy. You can't be in a dogfight with GBPA and think that don't look bad. I don't think all is well with GBPA. But, all isn't rosy with the government either. The two partied need to stop acting like spoilt kids and fix things. Grand Bahama is an island with a lot of opportunity. Stop stifling it. There's no reason Grand Bahama can't be the jewel of the country. The city of Freeport is a blueprint for every city in this country. It's well planned. Can the adults get in the room and stop the kids from fighting?
A fantastic performance by this junior athlete on both nights. But, Sunday was definitely a clearing of the jitters and making a few adjustments. I don't think people fully appreciate what this young lady accomplished on both nights. Well done! A high-school athlete! I'm so proud. I'm proud of the whole team to be clear but this young lady deserves her moment in the spotlight. We done! Well done! Very positive attitude towards the criticism. She came back, adjusted and took it to another level. Very impressive for a youngster.
đ They had a convention? Lol. Lol. Lol. This is a circus with clowns pretending to be politicians. We need other voices, other than the FNM and PLP, buy these folks ain't it. The best thing they can do politically is to just GO AWAY.
Cable Bahamas is complaining about URCA? Lol. Two lousy entities. URCA doesn't serve a real purpose and Cable Bahamas, BTC, Aliv, etc provide lousy service at a high cost. When they're not doing that, they are manufacturing fees to bill the customer. BtC for example will bill ypu for incoming text messages and if you query they can't find the text on your phone but continue to bill for these phantom texts. I recall complaining to URCA years ago about a utility company. I've yet to receive a response. I guess they should check the Central Bank ok responding. They usually give a response to a complaint about financial institutions as "that ain't my business". Lol. This country is a joke masquerading as a country.
