Interesting! Does this mean all those persons with outstanding warrants for criminal and civil matter are going to be picked up at this time? It seems the police don't do arrest warrants like they should.
So the University of the Bahamas is training future leaders some of which will be auditors but they haven't learnt the very things they impart to their students. How do you say with a straight face you are years behind? How do you have a board and the board allows for this behavior? Isn't the board supposed to provide oversight? People should be fired and fines levied.
Interesting! I agree with Porcupine. From a business perspective it doesn't make sense for one part of the process to be allowed to slow down the whole process. I'm sure if the airlines started complaining, if their pockets are impacted, this would be fixed. The US government understands to place nice with large US corporations.
So they're taking about two months off. Interesting! BPL falling apart. Crime is out of control. Cost of.kiving is extremely high. There's no government business that needs to be done during this time off to address these items.
They passed a lot of legislation according to this article. Perhaps the top ten should have been listed. Both sides of the aisle are good with story telling. We need governments that actually move the country forward.
I haven't been following this discussion fully but I hope they carefully the legislation where a victim ismt only considered to be women. Although, women more than men would be victims of gender violence, men can also be as well.
The passports are missing but the statement says they didn't leave the office. How are they missing but they know they are still.there? Someone needs to.ask that. Surely if they can't be found, you can not say they haven't left the premises.
Baha Mar sits on a large parcel of Crown Land for free and now Graeme Davis complains about BPL prices? There are a lot of poor black Bahamians who can't afford food let alone electricity and we focus our attention to publish when a mega hotel resort decides to complain about BPL pricing. So when black John and Mary complain that ain't important but when a white foreign businessman complains we need to stand at attention. Keep in mind this same resort that we gave Bahamian land to don't want our kind on their property unless we apply for the servant jobs. So, let's not cry boo hoo for Baha Mar. We see Atlantis bullying people on Paradise Island. Let's look.at the whole picture people.
I'm not sure if this is a good way to go with pricing. If you look at the lack of.interest for most people in government stock, this would result in perhaps a lower than par pricing. If you take into account what happens in the equity market locally, every so often someone shows up to the table offering shares way below current market value which results in a dramatic drop in other people's portfolios simply.because they probably need back to school money. I think his suggestion works in a more mature investment environment, not here.
And to the points.made in the comments above, a lot of people are not going to.invest large amounts of their wealth in government securities as they fear a potential default as some point.
You can list thousand of names for jury duty in the papers. You can send real property tax Bill's without missing a beat but you can't provide a list of who you gave contracts to? Really?! It's that complicated a process. You're awarding contracts to every Indian China and India aye? It can't be hundreds of contracts that takes forever and forever to get information on.
Let's be clear, Mr. Wilson has no intention of providing t bi is information. If this was done the public will see just what skulduggery this administration is up to. This going into that same bs pile of the $120 million a year "error" unaddressed for decades.
I think Mr. Munrow gave a good idea here. I'm a little surprised that a sitting politician in the governing party responsible for the very area being accused is suggesting this. Either I'm missing something or he's taking a very politically mature and fair posture. He probably wasn't taken to the usual political schools of most of the people around him and before him. Bravo!
