So, the PM said things are looking up. He believes things are going well. Interesting!

Leadership is not something achieved over time or something that can be taught. It is an innate quality. It seems that when we vote, we're electing people for leadership who haven't demonstrated leadership qualities. Then we are surprised that they can't lead. We do this time.and time again. What's the definition of insanity, doing things the same way all the time but expecting a different outcome.

Well, he came in as a move to remove the PLP. So, he was a symbol. Lol. For the last few decades, we have had deficiencies in leadership. We had some bright spots in the Ingraham administration but also a bunch of issues as well. The last vision at the PM level that we had was th e beginning of the Pindling administration. That administration had some positives but also negatives. If we go back prior to Independence to the UBP, we get positives and some real bad negatives.

We're a country starving for a real.posiitve change. We're small enough to easily become a beacon of hope for the entire global community. Why do our leaders make it look so hard to run such a small country?

The change can be a matter if certain fundamental principles that ine believes in. So, I can respect that. However, I don't buy that from this guy. What has he really done? He doesn't appear to be some great champion of the people. This country is so sad with the people we choose to elect to office.

Th e current administration is a joke. The last administration was a disaster - corruption, mismanagement, etc. A change was needed. Unfortunately, we're changing from one bad idea to the next bad idea. We need a group of people with the interest in building this country to step forward and the people need to.embrace them. It's as simple as that. A great new leader won't happen over night. But, the right thinking visionaire will in time show greatness.

We're down this road because of the mistake made with the July 1st reopening. We basically won the fight against Covid-19 at that time. If we hadn't opened up in terms of foreign travel and tourism, we would probably be back to some semblance of normalcy. I don't understand that reopening decision given that all of the large hotel properties were closed. Also, tourists are not traveling in any significant numbers. So, from a cost benefit analysis perspective, he paid a very high price for little to no benefit.

He's announcing we're near the end despite the fact that the daily updates of cases isn't showing a downward trend. If the numbers are going down and the high numbers we're seeing is due to catching up on backlog results, then they should say do. Otherwise, it appears that they don't have a clue.

The police should abide by the law. But there's a tricky thing here, as he stated with funerals In general, you have people violating the Covid-19 orders but, given the situation it's extremely difficult to break that up. From a human side, do you want to be the officers to tell everyone that some of you have to leave? Then if they don't comply, arrest them. People are at their lowest point emotionally, out of respect you'll let.it go, but at a later time remind people to adhere.

Breaking up a party or telling people not to congregate on a beach is much easier. I'm not condoning the violation of the orders. I'm simply saying there's the orders and there are situations that most people don't have the will to enforce on from a compassion standpoint.

This is a really sad story. This was a child like the others mentioned in the article. Children shouldn't be caught in the midst of adults settling scores. It's bad enough that parts of this country has turned into war zones. The few without regard for life have decided to shoot indiscriminately in the street, into homes and into occupied cars. There is no concern about innocent lives being taken. Penalties have to increase. For the elderly and children, the laws should be much harsher for violence committed against them. Society has to protect the most vulnerable.

Well, like the old saying goes "time will tell". It just seems illogical that we have a great big idea here when we have a.public education system that's I'm the toilet.

To.huild a strong natio. You have to provide your people with the tools to compete in the global environment. It's interesting you touched on the banking industry. If you are up to speed the offshore sector is a fraction nbn of what it used to be. In years to come, it will be just shadows.

Keep.in mind this is the same country that has a very low ranking in the ease of doing business. The last ranking I saw, we were behind the West Bank. There are a lot of foreign investors complaining about the state of affairs here. The issues here are not fairytales. A lot of things need to be fixed. I love my country and I hate to see that we're not reaching our true potential. It's an intellectual graveyard.

I'm not sure what the impact of this will be for Barbados. But, if they embark on this journey it would be the textbook for other nations as to what the implications are in taking such moves.

From.my vantage point, I see the monarchy part of our nations as simply window dressing. It would be good to get a lesson on what are the advantages of being a democratic monarchy vs. a democratic republic.
