Their inability to pay and the knowledge that their property's value isn't worth half if what it has been rated as it has been assumed to be the same as and swept into the valuation of high end gated nearby communities us untenable and worth being challenged. Or do not pay past what its value is really worth.
Many of the properties have NOT been visited and assumptions are made on many proterties thus are misappraised. Properties that become swamped when heavy rain falls and are in a valley and bush, - and which are nowhere near the sea or in a gated community, which have been paying for street lights when there are none should not have to have a 500% increase levied. Retired elderly persons do not have these funds available and cannot give what they do not have.
This is for all who have habitually paid their taxes on time. Which is why they are financially in back of those who skip on their obligations. Perhaps it is time to join in with the majority and stop paying as well.
