bahamians Can't trust URCA!!!

Ummmmm, does it concern anyone that URCA, formally the "PUC" is perhaps majority staffed by former BTC "Batelco" employees? URCA is failing us, and need to be cleaned up!!!

Listen! from the onset Prime Minister Christie was singing the praises of Digicel, especially after he met with P.J. Patterson (former Jamaica Primer Minister) and if i'm not mistaken, he is affiliated with Digicel, so i have no faith in Mr. Chrisite, and this process being a fair and transparent one. This is the very same man (Perry Christie) who cried to everyone who would listen, after former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham sold the majority of shares to Cable & Wireless, and was bitterly against what seemed to be Mr. Ingraham's glorification of "Foreign is better", but here it is he is doing the exact same thing. Why in the 21st century do we feel the need to bring in more foreigners, when we have Bahamian professionals right here??? This makes absolutely no sense, and lets face it, with a country with only 350 plus thousand people, there will probably be no room for a 3rd license, so its safe to say that after Mr. Christie chooses Digicell (foreigner) as the second provider, we can certainly expect to see job losses at btc as well as cable bahamas. thanks in advance perry christie!!!

I'm sorry Mr. Williams, but as soon as a new cellular service provider is up and running, no amount of begging that you do, will stop a vast amount of BTC's existing subscribers to leave, and as far as BTC's IPTV pursuits are concerned, i hope for your sake that y'all plan on offering that service for under $8 a month because more an more Bahamians are fully aware of the existence of NetFlix for instance, and my apple TV does not fail me, and I'm very doubtful that BTC can beat the $8.99 a month that i currently pay for my NetFlix subscription.

This is just a good example of how a Governments meddling can set a company back, and tip the scale in another companies favor. Now here it is the PLP if I'm not mistaken, was the Government of the day when it had blocked CableBahamas/Columbus's endeavors to offer cellular service in the Bahamas, so Columbus pulled out of the country, and then the FNM Governent came along and sold majority shares of BTC to a foreign company, and so here we are today, The Bahamian owned company is getting shafted, while the majority foreign owned company reaps the rewards.

So let me understand this. BTC that currently offers horrible service, especially cell and data service, is talking about venturing into a new market (IPTV) when in fact their core business is beyond horrible? Are they serious? What a joke Leon!!!
