I'm sorry Mr. Davis, but I'm disappointed that you would even suggest that the PM use this car. Clearly the former PM had no conscience when it came to wasting tax payers money, and frankly there is no way to justify keeping that vehicle with the current financial state of the government. If I'm not mistaken, I've seen the PM being driven around in a very nice vehicle. I

Wow! In a country that is already cashed strapped, we are spending almost 200k on a car for the PM? WOW, that damn car needs to be sold ASAP.

If the accounts presented in this story are all true, all i can say is WOW!!!

Frankly, the self-proclaimed "Christian counsel" really needs to bud out of Government affairs. I'm truly tired of hearing from this small group of individuals, whom both Governments have allowed way too much say in the governance of this country. We cannot allow a small group of non-elected government officials have so much say, and influence on our Government. These perfect individuals are a bunch of idiots who claim to speak on behalf of their members, when we all know that its the majority of those very members who are gambling everyday.

Man i really must say that this new speaker is like no other that i can remember. This gentlemen is truly that, and i was very impress to see how fair is when watching the house proceedings. I don't know what made the PM choose him, but this guy is great!!

@ Victor.

Victor, what's unfortunate about all of this is that the DNA is actually the only party that is making any real sense. All 3 times that I've voted, I've voted for the FNM, but this election, whether the DNA wins or not, or gets a seat or not, i will vote for them. It horrifies me when i think of the FNM and or PLP winning the Government again. Both of those parties have no new ideas for the advancement of the country, and this is most evident in the fact that they are still thinking with one tracked "Tourism" oriented minds. They have learned nothing from 9/11 and the most recent recession. In both instances, our Tourism product suffered severely and thousands of Bahamians were left jobless. Any Government that does not focus on diversifying our economy at this point, will be a detriment to our people. This is a very serious issue, and one that the majority of Bahamians are not concerned with. We can no longer afford to depend on tourism and banking, we have had 2 strikes already, do you think we will survive a 3rd? I am now convinced that both the PM and Mr. Christie are unable to take us to the next level. This is not just a matter of political experience, but we need revolutionary thinkers and this is one of the single most important things that we as Bahamians should consider in this up coming election.

Frankly, If Freeport puts 1 FNM MP into Parliament, then i hope they suffer even more for the next 5 years, than they did under this most recent FNM Governement. The blatant neglect that was done to Freeport by Mr. Ingraham's Government is simply unforgivable, and I don't think the PLP has any better plans either. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Any political party aspiring to become the Government of the Bahamas, whose first priority is not to diversify our economy, is nothing but a detriment to the Bahamas. So far our current leaders have learned nothing from 9/11 and the most recent recession that the world experienced. As a result of both events, our tourism was severely hit, and here it is today, the vision less Mr. Ingraham and Christie, are still parading around town promoting tourism, and this is truly scary, because GOD forbids, if there is a 3rd strike to our tourism, then we are all screwed!!!

What i find more disturbing is how very few Bahamians seem to realize that we have already taken two serious blows to our economy, and yet we have not learned that we need to redirect the little financial resources we have, to seriously diversifying our economy. Clearly we have forgotten what happens to our tourism product after 9/11, and again with the most recent recession. At this point, ANY Government that is not focused on diversifying our economy, and continues to invest countless millions in tourism, is a detriment to our country. We have already received 2 strikes to our tourism based economy, and it scares me to see what will happen to us if there is a 3rd one. I have head the DNA speak about diversifying our economy, but unfortunately, that party does not have the support of the masses. I have yet to hear the FNM and PLP leaders speak about this very pressing issue. No longer can we depend solely on Tourism and Banking. Truly in my opinion, both Mr. Ingraham and Christie are not capable of taking this country any further than they have.
