The point is you can't control this and you can't close borders...and more importantly we're beyond that now.. stop mass testing, stop counting cases, stop prioritising COVID over everything else.
Buddy I agree with most of your posting but were I diverge is really belief that there is any precaution that actually works - you might as well being trying to stop a the tide with a baseball bat. We cratered our economy for nothing. We robbed our children's educations for nothing. We destroyed businesses for nothing.. We are complacent because we sat by and let it happen. I said it in the beginning we can't hold our breadth and wait for covid to disappear...If you are still scared of COVID you must be either very old, very sick or very fat...the rest of society should definitely be rejoicing because it's done...essentially 1/3 third (8000 out of 29000) of our cases in the last 5 weeks - no deaths, no ventilations, 6 people in ICU.. It is F*cking done!
Great data here showing the impact of the vaccine mix on myocardial outcomes..shocking really.. 777 per million worse case...there quite possibly needs to be a criminal investigation..They pushed something that wasn't safe....
And so what - fried food and lack of exercise gives you heart disease…? Which kills more people than than COVID. Guns, cigarettes, alcohol same deal - accepted killers… Existence about is understanding and accepting appropriate levels of risk. The problem with COVID is that risk has been hugely and glamorously inflated for around 90+% of society and still is. With omicron the emperor clearly has no cloths, people are waking up COVID cases and deaths are completely decoupled and it has nothing to with health measure or vaccination but a predictable viral evolution…at this we have to accept that COVID exists and that most people will get and be fine. If you re sick, fat and old take precautions.
The entry testing policy is a disaster and at this point does more harm than good. People should be able to travel with the 'sniffles' which is essentially what COVID19 is at this point. Testing should be prioritised for the at risk population; vast testing at this point in the pandemic is waste of resources...and only undermines economic recovery.
EMA joins the warning chorus against boosters...All you boosted peeps should be sweating a little...boost to fast and too frequent "you may have problems with immune response..." if they admit this much - what aren't they telling you...?
All of this sets up the end game though...even the CEO of Pfizer backing out of the boosting game..ditto WHO...Bahamas time to catch up...
yes we must protect our kids most particularly against medical protocols that don't work against de virus that does nothing to de children's wellness but may have destroyed da life outcomes of many...
the track and field stars hoping for that scholarship..kids that in 24 months absence of school drop out to try get a job instead...our kindergarteners that can't see their teachers mouth to dephipher learning cues or develop handwriting skills...the kids exposed greater child abuse...
Yes the definition of societal health should be based on the quality of life and educational opportunities and experiences our children enjoy..not the number of positive tests on the dashboard..
Mr Russell yes it's time for a change in priorities and metrics..
This is pretty new..haven't seen the counter argument yet. Basically this argues neutralisation of omicron is consistently dependent on previous infection as opposed to vaccination...I'm sure they 'll come up with something soon..lol
