This is first article that I have seen from a mainstream media that admits what many of us 'skeptics' that have commented on this paper have been saying for months - vaccination ain't cutting the mustard. It doesn't last, boosters are coming but we don't know if the booster will last either.
With that said the entire premise of the of vaccination passport and thrust of emergency orders is pointless...maybe that is why the FNM are rolling the dice...the writing is on the wall...

I would think that mass vaccinations combined with election campaigning and voting would be super spreading events...To me this just proves that government is not following health 'science or data' and every emergency power has been a sham since the beginning. If COVID was the deadly disease (rather than the latest fart that sends our crumbing health system falling) then this is just a idiotic move and speaks to a more dire need - money. The speaker intimated as much 3/4 weeks ago - elections would be called soon because without the stability of another 5 years lenders won't be writing checks...
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the rates you mentioned are just 12 months of deaths versus COVIDS 1.5 years...
COVID only killed 140 in 2020 and is up to 180 this year. (Bear in mind they are of course throwing in a lot of other causes into the covid bucket..given the WHO death coding requirements)
Not if those efforts make matters worse - murder deaths are up what 67% this year after 4 years of decline. I'm sure loss of income and stress have nothing to do with it. Increase in cancer mortality is up 10-15% in the Uk - we'll never know here but I met a young girl last week from the out island who's father suddenly died because cancer had riddled his body... Another young man lost his brother when a stomach ulcer turned to internal bleeding again diagnostics came to late...this just from interruptions in travel and the extra burden in terms of cost and ease of access from the government panic.
If this was truly about preventing deaths whatever the cost - then smoking, KFC, liquor and cars would all be banned...This is has always been about governments trying cover up the failure of their policies with a magic shot. If virus the virus is defeated naturally without government intervention they cratered our economies for no good reason. They become liable for lockdown deaths and destruction of livelihoods. Something they want to prevent at any cost - including your freedom and right to choose.
Precisely - there is significant 'collateral' damage vaccination programs - it might be social effect cues at vaccination centres are super events in themselves...or maybe a unrecognised side effect but either way undeniable phenomenon.
