The point is with increased testing you do find more cases but it drives the test positivity rate down of you don t have increase in transmission. Bahamas now has a test positivity rate of 4.5%. The WHO recommends under 5% TPR to open economies...this Minnis picking& choosing to justify his decisions. It’s not based on reality.
Except his "success" was limited testing. They did 1000s tests between Sunday and Monday and turned up 21 cases...0.021% of people the tested turned up positive.. And no ones talking about that all they hear is record cases...rather the fact there is a record number of tests..
**Over 1000 tests between today and yesterday... This is not evidence of increased risk or increased spread... This is simply evidence of increased testing... If this is used to justify the draconian policy rolled out yesterday then are freedoms are indeed stolen for nothing but the inability for our leaders to complete basic arithmetic...**
**Has anyone noticed that there were more than a thousand cases conducted between yesterday and today? Firstly that means that they have conducted nearly 10 times more tests in a single day than at any point during the course of pandemic to 'discover' these cases!! Secondly this could be a typo..Either way if they are using this to justify this insane policy of increased lockdowns then the Minnis administration is bordering on idiocy at best and at worse complacency ** Looking at this testing rate on the face of it means that actually our covid positivity rate is at it's lowest level in 4 months...Hospitals are not brimming. Corvid mortality remains non existent (I pray I am not speaking too soon). If they pass off this 'spike' as evidence of a "an outbreak" then we are really living in the dictatorship of a doctor...
