High density housing can and eventually will have to work. but it requires more than simply zoning. electrical grid needs to be fixed, roads need to be expanded, public housing must be considered, proper and heavily regulated public transport must be brought forth and tax structures absolutely must change.
Zoning must come with infrastructure, which comes with costs, which are covered by taxes which must be changed.
Considering that the Chequers deal was flat out rejected, it's clear that the UK's government is just as clueless as ours. Boris and Nigel ran a good game on you guys.
police body cameras and CCTV. While the CCTV can be a bit pricey (although already deployed in limited quantity), body cams are cheaper to acquire. Pay for it by enforcing the traffic laws and book the ever loving sh8t out of the scores of Bahamians that run red lights, drive on the sidewalks, don't stop at stop signs and who make illegal turns or lane changes without a turning signal. Major intersections at rush hours and lunch time can bring in at least $10,00 a day if done correctly... AND we make the streets safer.
That is certainly not an entity that operates in 'good trust'. But HW has a history of skullduggery and they are a part of the crux by which the PRC got the Bahamas to break ties with Taiwan. If there wasn't an intervention, I wonder how that would have played out...
So let me get this straight, shut down electricity for the capital of the country because one of your workers was spoken to harshly by a manager? I honestly don't give a flying fart, while that needs to be resolved, it does not = making us suffer. We the people that pay for expensive and absolute garbage service aren't the ones that should be losing appliances, business hours, sleep, productivity for your union Sh8t.
Honestly, I'm beyond tired of this union threatening power outages. This is where a criminal investigation should come into play. Sabotage of major city's power supply in some countries is seen as an act of terrorism, which either carries up to life in prison or death.
although I'm months late, their low prices didn't bankrupt them, that's a cl;ear sign you have not the slightest clue about their situation. Furthermore, Americans bought fuel from Venezuela... then sold it to us. The only sucker here is us.
honestly I don't give a sh8t about this drama. My electricity bills are over $400 per month now since summer began. To hell with the board or any of these people on it. Just fix the goddamnPOS corporation and reduce the cost of electricity in the country. I got friends all over the world and their average monthly electricity bill is $20. For such a poor third world country we pay outrageous amounts of money for big sexy and other fat cats in the board to act like retarded children.
Everything government touches is cancer, a failure and a massive drain on the public purse.
BPL is just as big of a failure as Bahamasair and BOB. The rule is simple, if the government owns it, it's corrupt, expensive, inefficient and a flaming pile of garbage.
