Meanwhile, in the civilized world, you can walk up to a booth at a concert and buy whatever sort of THC or CDB enriched product you'd like for a few bucks in a safe, controlled environment. Do these politicians realize it is 2024? Alcohol and tobacco are far, far more dangerous than weed.
At least in my lifetime, daytime is usually when there is a sun in the sky. With a sun in the sky, you can produce solar power.
Why in the hell would we be burning more fossil fuels for this? The argument for solar not being a good fit for The Bahamas is the storage aspect, as our demand peaks in the evening, after the sun has set. Cruise ships pulling their load during daylight hours make solar an ideal match.
Unless this is just another cash grab by some connected individuals.......
Can you really blame them? A country known for a less than welcoming attitude towards anyone who is different, goes missing. Of course they are going to report on it. Maybe if we weren't a nation of racist, homophobic bigots, other people wouldn't perceive us as racist, homophobic bigots.
When are we going to take marine safety seriously? Jet skis everywhere with untrained operators. Tour and charter boats running right up to the beach, on plane, where there are swimmers and snorkelers. This is what, the third person to be struck and killed by a boat this year alone? Where is the ports dept? Where is the RBDF?
She was last seen at the yoga retreat in the evening. That place gets moving very early in the morning, so it is unlikely she was out partying. I wouldn't be surprised if she drowned, or had a shark encounter while swimming at night.

In this case, however, it is going to benefit everyone in the long term. BEC is paralyzed by the parasites that are the union. By contracting out work to other non union companies, we can finally make some progress, and get the job done without a bunch of whining three year olds throwing temper tantrums.
Hotel/Casinos are a net benefit to the country, providing jobs and increasing the GDP. Numbers houses are a leach, sucking the lifeblood from the country. Why exactly are they legal again? Didn't the majority of the country vote against legalization?
