An arbitrary decision made without no input or insight.Yesterday was utter chaos.

Persons were blindsided. A diabetic lady was in tears on the radio when she spoke about getting her prescription.A pensioner who needed to get his check to buy groceries.Close the gas stations. An essential worker said without gas to put in his car, how would they get to work.A care -giver who could not get through to Cov-19 number 311.Her client needed to have catheters and intravenous tubes changed.

Then you have persons who made excuses for this decision.Somebody made this comment on a radio show why Bahamians were not ready.Excuse me, not everybody has a stock pile of groceries, water and medicine in their home. There are persons on this island who have not worked since March. You have an increase in homeless on this island.

These decisions are creating uncertainty and panic.Somebody called Juan McCartney from a next Caribbean country and asked him about the chaos on New Providence yesterday.My,my.

What are you babbling about? That snap lock decision down was poor.It created mass hysteria and panic. You did not listen to the diabetic lady on Juan McCartney's show.'She was in tears as she disclose what would happen to her if she is unable to get her prescription of insulin.Even a member of the cabinet said that decision took him by surprise. These arbitrary decisions are creating chaos.

A disaster. The government reopen the borders without putting in all the protocols. No real planning and no attempting to build capacity in the health sector during the first wave.

Not testing Bahamians who only spend three days aboard was a huge mistake. Also they should have been quarantined.

Coupled that with a population who refuse to work for the greater good.A sizable part of the population who refuse to adhere to COV19 protocols.A population who by and large don't accept personal responsibility for their actions.

i surely believe we will get through this crisis. But I don't know at what cost.

There are about 60,000 derelict vehicles on the island of New Providence. The Ministry of the Environment said that.

There are several illegal dumping sites on New Providence. Also road side verges are not properly maintained, in some areas, drains not cleaned regularly and quite a number of abandoned buildings.

The island of New Providence should have local government councils set up to deal with these matters. The city and county in which my sister lives and works in the US,their local government deals with these matters. They are light years ahead of New Providence in maintenance and cleanliness.

The FNM government hired a US based firm to collect the cruise permit fees. They had a big problem when the financial secretary Wilson hired a US based firm to collect real property taxes from foreign property owners based in Florida. Now they turn around and did the same thing.

Tribune Business had a problem with the US company collecting the property taxes on the government'S behalf. Now they did not even mention how a US based firm is going to collect cruise permit fees.I wonder why?

That idea was simply copied from Barbados. No research and no analysis done. There is similar legislation already here,I am told. They also pulled a pie in the sky number for the revenues.

Other countries in the caribbean also offer economic citizenships. One of the questions that was not obviously asked, what would a person gain by working or studying online here? Utilities here are unreliable and expensive.

The acting financial secretary is merely a public relations man.No real analysis or work goes into his public statements. He has to this day not answered the questions posed to him about the vat tax increase by a former senor FNM cabinet minister.Smoke and mirrors.

A every good initiative.A lot of persons on New Providence don't understand how important the second home owners is to some island economies.

The family islands need real local government for their development.Certain things should be managed at the local level. They don't need a politician on New Providence to approve every thing.

This is a very good idea.Minister Pintard spoke on previous occasions, how the governments of both Bermuda and Barbados encourage the development of backyard farming.

Like I is always say, sensible progressive ideas take years to implement in this country.

I carry my aluminum cans to BHS depot for the last five years, Recycling should be widespread in this country.

Recycling is a part of the process of solid waste management.A lot of items that goes to the public dump can be recycled. But as usual, sensible progressive ideas take years to be implemented in this country.See the uproar with the ban of plastic bags earlier in the year.

That position was created so Cmdr. Bethell could leave the RBDF and serve until he retire to get his full pension.

The position goes against both the Police and Defence Act according to a lawyer.Politicians can get away with anything in the Bahamas. The media here in the Bahamas don't understand much and can't explain much.
