People were in a frenzy yesterday.Long lines and chaos.

Typical Dr.Minnis.Make a rash decision .The decision creates the problem you were actually trying to avoid.There was little or no social distancing on some of those lines.

Decisions made in an ad-hoc fashion.Only input came from his circle of hand-picked advisors
and cabinet.They are not the only fount of knowledge in this country.The people in Grand Bahama created a number system today that is working.

This happens when you simply take ideas from other places and just implement them.Don't think nothing through.

These arbitrary decisions are not well thought out.I understand the need for social distancing and the lock down to prevent the spread of the virus.I support the shopping days by surnames.But in a few hours,there is this announcement of lock down from Wednesday night.That created a next wave of panic buying. I saw that first hand when to Lowe's to fill a prescription for a relative.There was chaos at Lowe's southwest plaza.Super Value cross the road was a next mess.

The Bahamas is not a practical or prudent country.A SWOT analysis of this country and it's economy should have been gone years ago.Development plans could have been developed from that.This country has fail to leverage to it's advantage, it's nearness to the US and it's tourism industry.Some bahamians may up doing what they laugh and throw jeers at caribbean nationals for doing.That is going to a next country to work.

You don't know what is going on.You are a big time supporter.Bahamians love to play crazy and act fool.

The late Sir Clement Maynard famously said those words.

Pure political propaganda in myopinion. .Dr.Minnis is well-meaning but he is no great leader.

He is no great speaker,lacks charisma and does not have any great grasp of public policy.

He is blessed however with several things.The main opposition party to him is corrupt to the core and totally discredited.The PLP should simply disband since they are unable to reform.
But their demise will create a next problem in this country.Because you need an opposition in this highly autocratic country.Phillip Davis would be worst in the role of prime minister than him.

The voters in this country are in the main,poorly educated and under-exposed.They are use to trading their votes for money.liquor, food,jobs and contracts.People here vote in their best interest and not for the community's best interest.So he and his handlers know what the voters in this country want.

The media here mainly toadies to him.The Punch both praises him and attacks persons on his behalf.The Guardian newspaper and its' radio station is the only media house that really consistently question his judgement.Eyewitness news does it now then and then.But they are
sensationalist.

He will survive in this country.He is what Bahamians expect their leaders to be.A wealthy professional who can dole out favours to voters.

The island of New Providence needed a unified public transportation from the 1950's. We are now seventy years from that in 2020.It is long past due.

The taxi system on this island need also to be completely revamped also.The leasing of plates should have been stopped years ago. Taxi drivers for years refuse to provide service to their fellow bahamians on New Providence. This has been happening since the old meter cab taxi company basically closed down.They mainly plied their trade with tourists.An expat was amazed that taxis worked mainly at the airport,,hotels and down town.He told me that this is why every body here has to have a car to get around. He said I have been in cities n the US and Canada which are larger than New Providence and you can get around easier than here.

Don't let any body fool you.The Bahamas is not a progressive,innovative country.A Nassau Guardian reporter said on talk radio,he visited Jamaica.Jamaica was in his opinion ,a more progressive country when it came to doing business. The Bahamas has made it primarily due to it's being near to the US and the American's economic embargo of Cuba due to the communist take over of that island in 1959.

The lack of innovation and competition is common here among the business community.
Juan McCartney spoke about that today on his talk show, He said one of the things you see during this coranavirus pandemic is that a lot of businesses here have not innovated.
