They stopped a shipment of ventilators from going to Barbados. This is nothing new, they are being very disgusting. As though only they need access to ppe and medical supplies. Smh

We've been on lockdown 2 weeks, which means those persons were in arrears before the economy came to a standstill. If your bills is over 4 weeks past due, you cannot possibly think to blame it on Covid-19 lockdown.

Bahamians like slackness and something for nothing. Now for those who had bills paid up until the lockdown went into effect, I would hope BPL would extend some courtesy and not disconnect.

This means we shouldn't hear Rupert complaining about losing money, when this all dies down.

You can take the trolley out, you just have to pass the cashier and security first.

See Solomon's on the East-West highway set-up. Can't get groceries out there without paying, unless the cashier and security are assisting.

I don't see Solomon's with this problem, there is one way in and one way out of the store. There is no way to roll a full cart of groceries out of Solomon's unless the security and cashier are both in on it.
Seems to me Mr. Roberts needs to maybe readjust his stores layout, and stop attempting to bully hard working honest Bahamians.

An increase in armed robberies coincides with an increase in taxes, food, rent, and the overall cost of living in The Bahamas. All whilst minimum wage remain less than 300 dollars a week.

I fail to see why politicians can't see this. The Bahamian people are broke and struggling, so they are resorting to violent and drastic measures to make ends meet.

I don't disagree, instead of wasting money on these "eye un the sky" surveillance, they need more modes of transportation. These police officers need to start actually patrolling instead of assuming certain areas are safe from crime.

Obviously that isn't the case, and the criminals are capitalizing on the fact that in certain affluent areas there is minimum or no police presence.

No, that happens when they make sure only one person knows how to run the ship. Maybe if other qualified (cause obviously if they are able to replace him there are others qualified) people were trained and allowed to step up, he wouldn't have to not take vacation.
But in typical Bahamian fashion they feel as though if they take vacation and someone else proves capable of doing their job it makes them redundant. So in order to maintain job security they rather not leave for vacation, which is very silly. If they should die tomorrow someone still has to take the job.
I have never heard of high ranking officers not taking vacation in the USA (I am prior military) and who has more stuff going on than the USA.
