That's a just, impartial, and fair judicial system comes into play. Capital Punishment is a sentenced reserved for without a doubt perpetrators of murders and other heinous crimes. If there is even a shadow of a reasonable doubt then that is where life in prison or the equivalent is sought.
I have always felt Bahamians as a whole have this air of entitlement. "Oh I am doing you a favour serving you this meal" rather than "Thank you for your patronage, there are so many other places you could have went. How can I further make this experience memorable?"
And the attitude they have with their own people pisses me off. My brother grew up in the US and therefore has an American accent, I grew up in the Bahamas and therefore my accent is Bahamian. I have experienced first hand the difference of treatment. When we go out and he speaks they are ready to bring him the ocean, but hear me speak and it's like "wth you want".
Generally speaking the Bahamas needs to develop pride as a country, pride in ourselves as Bahamians, pride for one another and then maybe we might have a chance to save this country.
It's also an example of a failed system. This child was sent several times to the Girl's Industrial School only to be returned and clearly continue on a path that eventually lead to her untimely demise.
This should be a wake-up call to the government as well to show that they are failing these young people in areas where it matters most. Obviously she had behavioral issues...she should not have been allowed back into her parents care. I am not saying the system would have been better, but in this case who knows.
They need to start the rehabilitation at the roots, our country is slowly going to hell in a hand basket while the government officials are concerned about how much more money they can pump out of the Bahamian people.
SMH!!! I am so disgusted at times with The Bahamas.
How many people already drowned off Potters Cay now...when are they going to properly enclose that area so that only fishermen have access with their boats. SMH!!!
Unfortunately what will wind up happening is he will go to court, get the death penalty and then appeal so many times that eventually the Privy Council will step in and say it's inhumane to have someone on death row so long. He will then spend the remainder of his days enjoying the free food, clothes, and shelter that HMP provides.
What needs to happen is F*CK the Privy Council and start hanging these mf'ers for committing murder. Clogging up the jail and wasting Bahamian tax payers money because they need to be fed and provided for while in jail. Start setting examples and show that the Bahamas does not tolerate murderers and if you commit a crime you will be punished. These dudes take the justice system for a joke, because they know they will never be put to death.
If we started administering the death penalty to some of these guys I believe some would think twice before committing murder. They must need to start assassinating government officials for them to see that something is fundamentally wrong with our society.
This is just another reason why they need to put a time limit on how long a person can be the leader of a country. So by the time the power of being leader goes to their head and they start on with this kind of shiite their time in power would be up.
SMH...sometimes I swear. Please explain why the christian council is touring BahaMar. They are not the governing body of the Bahamas. While the Bahamas is a Christian nation what on this green earth do they have to do with the BahaMar project. Unless you are there because they are opening a church in the hotel. Same Council against Bahamians gambling but they touring the hotel. SMH!!!
Just another opportunity for "niggas" to profile and act like they are important. Rev. Dr. Patterson why don't you and your council go and tour the Boys And Girls Industrial School, Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre, Her Majesty's Prison...shoots maybe if you toured more of these public schools you might be able to save one or two of them from ending up in those places.
I am sick and tired of Bahamians using politics and positions to make themselves more important...
What we need is a standard for politicians. Any Joe off the street with an idea and a dream of grandeur can become an elected official. Some of these guys have no idea on how a country should be run. They get a law degree and automatically think they are qualified to run a country. SMH!!!
When are we as Bahamians going to start requiring more for our country? We get so punch drunk because we think because someone has a law degree they must be smart. Wake the hell up Bahamas- having a degree does not make a person intelligent enough to undertake running a country. As if we can't see the hole we have been systematically thrown into by various leaders. We won't wait until the hole is so deep all we can do is be buried underneath our stupidity.
Sounds like some crazy stuff cause based on math he had this child at 62. Now I am no doctor but I figured if he was talking to a woman around his own age she would be at minimum around 55 (maybe 50 at minimum she should be). Now again not speaking from any experience but last I did check most 50-55 year old women aren't having children. So I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the mother is old old enough to be the daughter of the said 77yr old father.
But as stated that's another matter that might not be to far from what the actual issue is. Why this child was misbehaved and mis-guided. It appears she comes from a dysfunctional family...
Sad to say while it is a tragedy she died and yes Bahamian club owners need to be regulated, only people to really blame are her parents. Because if they were indeed doing the job of parenting her behind would have been home or at the very least they would have known where she was at.
The father clearly stated she was a troublemaker- so if she wasn't shot in that club she might have been shot somewhere else. This is what happens when you surround yourself with that kind of crowd.
