I think it is very sad how the FNM has treated Mrs Osborne as well as other members of the previous board. Especially since the FNM campaigned on transparency and stopping corruption. The FNM in general.. particularly Bannister.. are a disappointment.
Am hearing Heastie ...against advise of the staff at Clifton Pier...gave a directive to start the engine anyway.. which resulted in the first fire..and has caused this chain reaction....So why is he not being held accountable....
Apparently the engines are never started at night...Heastie was advised by staff not to start the engine ....Heastie gave a directive to start the engine anyway...very lucky no one was badly injured or killed. I wonder if this CEO will be held accountable...
This is utter garbage Mr. Rollins!!! PM Minnis you know exactly what has happened and you know there is no need for an investigation as you are well aware of the events!!!! Why do you allow persons like Rollins/Heastie and Bannister to continue to embarrass this country!!! please step in and remove them!!!!!! they are an embarrassment to the bahamas!!!!!!
I would also like to see the qualifications as well as it relates to running a power company. This is very serious. we need to move forward. My understanding is the CEO is a chemical engineer who was let go from Grand Bahama Power. The most senior power generation engineer at BPL was given his VSEP..why would you even consider letting this person leave until you got Shell on the ground and up and running?? Mr. Maynard did note the disorganization of this VSEP process however.
Bannister should actually consult with others besides his friend and Heastie..so the stories get are kept straight.....the unions/staff have noted these turbo charges would not solve the blackouts.. Hmmm..wonder which company these turbochargers were being ordered from??? I think you are right DDK.. there is a smell....
And this trip..at the invitation of the Chinese government...why would Rollins/Heastie be invited without knowledge of the Board...if they were representing BPL..for what purpose if it was authorized by you..why choose these two..shouldn't you consult with the Chairman on who should be on these trips so the day to day receives the least disruption.
How could they be representing a government entity and the Board Chair/Board in general are unaware? What is going on!!???? During the VSEP exercise??!!
Macau...isn't that the same place that has a reputation for laundering money through the casinos??? Boy I tell ya...follow the money.... You are so right about Moody's....
I would like to know how much the trip to China cost Mr. Bannister? The recent trip you and your two friends..Rollins and Heastie went on. You know.. the one that was unauthorized by the board and according to social media..Mrs. Osborne refused payment for this first class trip as it was not sanctioned by the Board. Heastie and Rollins would not provide a report as to why they accompanied you to China so I hear! Then Rollins went behind her back and used BPL to pay for the costs.. remember he could do that since you made him Executive Chair!!. Is this true????
Heastie should be instructed to release those costs but instead we are releasing the costs for Mrs. Osborne's makeup.....sigh....
Mrs. Osborne should take the leadership of the FNM. She has far more backbone and integrity than any of them!! This intolerance of corruption is exactly what is needed for the Bahamas!!! Well done Mrs. Osborne..Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Dean!!!
I agree I hope Mrs. Osbourne spills the beans!!! Along with Mr. Dean/Mrs. Thompson. I hear also the "beans" are held by high ranking BPL executives...so lets see how Bannister spins this now!!! The boldness of all of this is not isolated to just the board level..so lets just see what the MOW "officially" has to say....remember his friend Rollins, who is the now Executive Director at BPL, sat on the Nassau Flight Services Board under the last FNM government....they had to order a forensic audit on that board.....no wonder Mrs. Osborne didn't want him any where around!!!! I agree... privatize!!!
