Why does the webb shop exist in the first place? If every Bahamian could walk into casino and gamble or purchase a lottery tickets the webb shops would be out of business fast. It is our own government and religious brainwashing by the council that created an enviroment that produced these illegal enterprise by establishing self discriminating laws. What's interesting are that many of the same individuals have benefited financially from payout from these so called illegal enterprises.
Socialism, it doesn't work.. Things like the webb shops would not exist in a free market capitalist society where any individual of legal age & resources could walk into a casino & gamble legally. Socialism breeds government dependant people & more unchecked corruption.. Socialism does not promote individual responsibility.. Look around the world & it's generally evident, where the mases live the worse off are in heavily socialist or communist countries.. Capitalism has its flaws but any society where the government is the source and not the referee is destined to have social disorder fueled by corrupt politicians.
It is intellectually insulting to listen to this guy, he assumes we are all idiots so caught up in the plp, fnm foolishness that we cannot see both parties for what they are, cancers. Him & the large one are constantly politicizing these matters just like the plp did with no solution in sight. Decades of the same people, who only care for their personal ambitions has cause serious damage to society. Sucking the life out the country for 5 year periods has made solving serious issues like crime almost impossible.

Oracle, Yes I meant to say regressive, was pissed while typing, the frustration is that individuals like me from over the hill communities that were fortunate to leave through scholarships see no good reason to return home other than occassionally visiting family.
i'll take back the savage but there is a deep problem here that has to be address that's deeper than just criminal behavior. People are locked in this extreme battle for survival. The Government has created an environment that places extreme hardships on its own people. They have essentially through poor education, high taxes, and corruption created a dangerous group of individuals running around with no care for humanity. You walk into a store and pay $6.00 plus for a loaf of bread and what do u expect. A jar of peanut butter will run u around $8.00.. Now what is the minimum wage.. Housing inflated, utilities inflated, gas and transportation inflated, interest rates inflated.. Everything is inflated then they want to tax people 15% with a stupid progressive tax on all goods and services. To top matters of you have a large amount of fatherless households with illegitimate children living in poverty. I can see no long term solution to the crime problem with these factors..
Wtf, pre-school, tell me this is a misprint.. This is beyond crime, what we have is a large segment of the population are purely savages locked in game of survival without any attachment to morals.. These individuals are sociopaths.. if this keeps up losing tourism will not be the major concern, the problem will be a large defection of of our most productive & intelligent Bahamians to other countries...
I certainly do not believe they are absolve of there poor conduct, but u & I are thinking rationally because we have resources otherwise we would not be commenting here. What I'm saying is the individuals who did this could care less about what u or I or anyone thinks they're in survival mode.
Is it shameful or is it desperation, its definitely immoral, but when u have a bunch of broke, unemployed and hungry people around doing task what result do u expect...
