This is the standard packaging for edible cannabis product from Canada or parts of the US where it is legal. No deceptive packaging here, just a fundamental lack of understanding on the part of Bahamian authorities. If the bag says Lay's Chips and has weed in it then that is deceptive. If it says weed and has weed, it is properly packaged. Maybe illegal in the Bahamas, but properly packaged. Mr Thurston makes it sound like some major criminal innovation. LOL
This publication needs to find new sources for "news". Who cares what the unions say? We already know their position. Nothing interesting to write about I guess so let's interview the same people over and over again.
According to this article, a 3 day Carnival cruise for a family of 4 costs $950.00. What activity can we possibly offer people on this type of budget? Dinner for 4 In Nassau will cost a third of the cruise cost. Visiting dolphins at Atlantis will cost half the cruise cost. Even the horses buggies are expensive for this crowd.
Your $2MM investment will yield the Government $5MM in annual revenue? Is that taxes? Duty? I find that difficult to believe. I empathize but the reality is that Royal Caribbean will do a better job and isn't asking for "government assistance". They have the clients on their ships and will make this successful the way they have their cruise business. That will employ and help more Bahamians than a local operation that is just as delayed by covid19 as RC and with an iota of their resources.
She can't be worse than Bob Barker with the trophy wife....LOL. In reality the Bahamas is a Jr. assignment for a diplomat and she will move on to larger assignments. Can you think of an easier place to work foreign service than the Bahamas?
Since when does management have to be filled from union ranks? Why even consult the union? "The union told them......" What an entitled entity this union is, and led by a self important individual.
