Stay tuned folks......this is just getting started! It has only been 5 weeks. It will take much longer to uncover, investigate, and bring to justice those who have stolen the people's money. Patience is needed to produce successful prosecutions. I am enjoying the Show, and will applaud when some folks do the "Bank Lane Shuffle".

Dr. Nottage may have been an accomplished gynecologist, but he failed in politics. I can not point to a single, meaningful, and positive contribution he made to the building of our nation, or even in his former constituency of Bain and Grants Town. He will always be remembered for his aiding, abetting, and cover-up of his party's malfeasance while in government. Attesting to this is the fact that his political career came to a screeching halt, upended by a 23-year old political-newcomer.

You are really expecting more in 5 weeks from the FNM government, than you received in 5 years from your beloved PLP. How unfair is your expectation!

Maybe you have information to which I am not privy. I am only relying on what's in the public domain. So far, the facts as presented, including the recommendation from a reputable law firm and audit from the accounting firm, do not support Mr. D'Aguilar's version. It would appear that the Tenant had a reasonable dispute about the rental fee, and, based upon independent recommendation, came to a just resolution. Of course there may be legitimate questions about the ability of this tenant to lease 5 stores, etc.

If the facts are, as presented by Mr. McKinney, and Brave, Mr. D'Aguilar owes the Bahamian people an apology. I expect the FNM to govern with honesty and integrity. The PLP has done enough wrong with the Bahamian people's money and other assets. There is no need to manufacture issues, just do some serious digging. He should have done his homework before standing in parliament and maligning the character of those who are unable to defend themselves. I hope this is not the way forward for Tourism under D'Aguilar.

Brave should really do the honorable thing and resign his seat in parliament. No one is listening to, or believing, anything he has to say. He actually should hang his head in shame for the poor conditions in Cat Island. The island has not seen any progress since he has represented it, and the few public works contracts that he has handed to his "boys" have produced very shoddy work, of no lasting value to the people there.

I will never understand why some of the bloggers on this page have to be so mean-spirited in their comments directed at Mr. Poitier. Someone even have him being paid a million dollars a year. Are you that self-hating, or Jealous? Typical Bahamian traits, I know. What does his possible lifestyle have to do with the conversation? Can't we simply remain focused on the malfeasance of the PLP administration?

I couldn't agree with you more. Bahamians really eat their own alive!

No where did I say that the work I saw was worth $400,000.00 per year. I simply said that the productions I saw was first class, on par with anything I had seen in Europe or the USA. My focus in all this is on the PLP Cabinet ministers who were responsible for approving and paying him. I honestly don't see how the fault lies with Mr. Poitier. If it is proven that he did no work for the money received, then yes he is complicit in a scheme to fleece the public treasury. Until then, I will shine the spotlight on the public officials who authorized the payments.

I don't understand why everyone is upset with Mr. Poitier. The anger, if necessary, should be directed at the PLP government who made the arrangements with him, and paid the money to him. Come on Bahamians, we are better than that. In my professional experience, most creative artist are not very good businessmen. They are usually too consumed in their work. I have never had the good fortune of meeting Mr. Poitier, but I have seen his work, and would readily attest to it being first-class, on par with anything I have seen in the U.S. or Europe.
