I wonder what Bell will say bout this ruling? Another "hollow judgment"?

The bottom line is that Bran has no parliamentary seats, and no prospects of winning one. However, if he runs a full slate of candidates in the upcoming election the PLP will be guaranteed a return to power. So, yes, the FNM does need to reach out to Bran, and Moss, and offer some kind of compromise. Maybe they both can be allowed to run unopposed by the FNM in return for not running any additional candidates from their respective parties.

How else can these crooks steal from their cookie jar? Of course, the delayed audits and other neglect of accountability provisions under the law, allows them to obfuscate, cover their tracks, and cast blame. I have never seen a bunch of lying, thieving crooks, with complete disregard and utter contempt for the law, masquerading as a government anywhere else in the world. Heaven help my poor country!

Is it just me? Mr. Sears admits to being a "minor" shareholder in the company that received over $600,000 of our money and did not produce the desired festival. Boy, these fellas never cease to amaze me. Talking about hands in the Cookie Jar!

Godson, I appreciate your devotion to Sir Etienne, a friend of, and fellow soldier with your father. However, you have no grounds to suggest I am ignorant or young, because I disagree with your revisionist history. Sir Etienne, despite his looks, never suggested at any time that he was "coloured". He, neither his daughter who succeeded him, has ever laid claim to being a part of the Bahamas majority. They have always rightfully considered themselves white. Any suggestions to the contrary is simply a figment of your imagination.

Landslide = Soundly. You can bicker over the number of votes, and the role played by DNA; slicing and dicing it any way you wish. At the end of the day, The PLP ended up with the overwhelming majority of seats. The FNM only secured 8 seats.

The remnants of the UBP should hang their collective heads in shame and disgrace for damage done to the Bahamas and majority of it's citizens prior to 1967. Black Bahamians owe little gratitude to Sir Etienne and his cohorts who talked a good game to garner international attention, but did nothing for the people at home. In 1956 while he was moving a resolution in the House of Assembly to ban discrimination in hotels and restaurants, Sir Etienne was still practicing employment discrimination at his business. There were no professionals of color working there other than domestic helpers. Neither did he hire any interns. So, the racist conditions he was railing against, was still being practiced by him. I am not impressed with Sir Etienne's contributions.

Now, I understand why the Tribune did not name the property owners in its original story. Same old stuff, different day - protecting the identity of the privileged elitist friends - The Fountains.

I am so disgusted by the seeming lack of respect for Dr. Minnis as leader of the FNM party. When the PLP soundly defeated the FNM at the last election, Dr. Minnis was left to pick up the scraps and hold a sinking ship together. In my humble opinion, he has done a resounding job, when I consider what he had to work with. While I would like to see Mrs. Butler-Turner as Prime Minister one day, I am throwing my support behind the current leader, who was chosen, and then duly elected at the last convention. The leadership question has been settled, and the decision should be respected by all who wish to see meaningful change in our beloved country.

For those who are suggesting that they cannot vote for Dr. Minnis, I am suggesting that unless you reside in his constituency, you are correct. You cannot vote for the leader, who may, or may not, become the Prime Minister after the next election. We don't vote for the Prime Minister, only our representative. So, are you telling me that you really believe that Christie is a better leader or Prime Minister than Dr. Minnis could become?

While I share the author's analysis of our country's current dilemma, I hold out no hope that the eyes of this PLP administration will ever be opened, or that they might have a come-to-Jesus moment. If Perry and the entire cabinet resigned, and refused to offer themselves for office ever again, maybe I might find some semblance of redemption for the PLP and its legacy.
